My husband and I stayed in Cusco with Ludwig for 4 nights and he was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The rooms are chilly, so I recommend the heater or extra blankets, but there is hot water, so you can warm up that way. There is also plenty of coca tea to be had if you're not acclimating to the altitude. The hostel is very centrally located and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see. There was quite a bit of noise early in the morning, from other people staying in the hostel, but that is bound to happen when some people use Cusco as a base to visit Machu Picchu and they leave at 5:00am. We also did a trip to Machu Picchu and Ludwig kept our luggage for us until we returned 2 days later, as you can only take 8kg per person on the train to Aguas Calientes. Overall a great stay. We would stay there again.
