This hotel is perfectly situated on a corner of Plaza de las Armas. Many of the historic churches and Inca ruins are within a couple of blocks. Good restaurants are also within safe walking distance. We stayed in room 309 near the rear of the hotel. The noise from the popular square was almost negligible except during the Corpus Christi festival which only happens once a year at the beginning of June. The room was basic but very clean. The included breakfast was a bit lacking. Cold cereal and sliced cold cuts and cheese were the choices. But the breakfast room has seats on a balcony overlooking the square providing a wonderful overview. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is coca tea in the lobby to help with altitude sickness. We also spied an oxygen bottle behind the reception area. They are well versed in helping guests through any altitude symptoms they may have. We would stay there again except during the Corpus Christi festival. A hotel off the square during that time would be better.
