We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in July 2006. The location is superb and the place is very safe. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. The breakfasts are good (fruit, cereal, bread, eggs, yogurt, fruit juice) but it was the same each morning. A bit of variety would not go amiss.

It can be noisy in the mornings as trekkers head off early. The sound of heavy mountain boots and conversations by insensitive guests can start at around 5am so anyone who wants a deep sleep should bring earplugs. Overall though, this place can be highly recommended.

I have just returned from Peru. I agreed with the previous review - Good value but you get what you pay for...
Rooms are clean and staff helpful. They will pick you up at the airport free of charge. Two words of warning: Do not pay your bill in soles. They use a flat rate of 3.45 soles per dollar. The dollar has been between 3.20 - 3.25 soles the last few weeks so we felt rip off. We had all our money changed to soles.
Second warning - do not use the phone. They charged us 9 soles for a 30 seconds phone call to a hotel staff who was organising a tour for us. He supposed to be in touch but we didn't hear from him so we asked reception to check with this member of their staff if our tour was going ahead. Reception did call him and billed us for the it.

I think next time I am in cuzco I will try the San Blas Neighbourhood. It seemed more authentic to me. The centre of Cuzco is becoming too tourist and artificial.

There is a great little bar/restaurant in the same street than Rumi Punku called Moloko. Food is cheap and includes some delicious typical Peruvian dishes. They also have a cinema room with surround sound upstairs where you can enjoy one of the two daily films free of charge.

Value for Money, this was a great place. nice rooms and a good breakfast each morning. Pick up from the airportl as promised was there. many people staying there seemed to be there for a week or more, so same faces each day made it feel more like home. if you have multiple people, they have rooms that have room enough for 5 people and with rates for singles at $45, Doubles at $55 and Triples at $70. YOU CAN SEE WHY IT WOULD BE GOOD TO GET YOUR GROUP IN LESS ROOMS. I would definitely stay here again. close to town. 5-7 min walk to plaza. Several Clothes washing laundry businesses up and down and across the road( drop off at beginning of day and pick up at end of day for 3sole per kg) .
