Stayed there twice while touring Peru after staying at a 5-star hotel in Lima that should take lessons from this hotel.. The hotel is extremely convenient to everything. The interior of the hotel is something to see as the flowers and stone work are impressive in themselves. Free internet, clean rooms, and a great breakfast. The staff was wonderful and helpful. You could ask them anything and had a can do attitude. I have traveled all over the world and anything you asked was "of course" they could do it.

Great hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the main square in Cusco. The rooms were very clean. Free internet and WiFi were an added bonus. The most notable was the service. Jorge is the best and looks out for all your needs. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in Cusco. Don't hesitate to leave some of your belongings in storage if you decide to hit the Inka Trail. This place is gated and very safe.

Due to excellent reviews for this hotel, it was our choice for staying in Cusco, and it was a great choice. Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, free internet access 24/7, free tea, and a safe place to put our luggage, documents and money during the time when we did the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu.

Best place in Cusco!

From the moment you arrive till the moment you say goodbye it is a beautiful experience. Rumi has all the items you ask for a nice hotel. White linens perfectly clean. Nice bathroom.
Excellent breakfast. Free wireless internet. And the most important thing: service!!!
I used to work in a five star hotel and I must say that you won´t find nothing better in a more expensive hotel. It was the best hotel in my 15 nights visit to Peru.

I stayed at Rumi Punku for 3 nights and was thrilled with the experience. The room was cozy and warm with a space heater and heavy blanket. The entire hotel is spotless clean. The hot water always worked and both the bathroom and room itself were spacious.

The decor is fantastic, with original Inca stonework visible throughout the building in addition to a great eclectic collection of artwork around the place. Breakfast is served in a gorgeous little common space and is included in the price. They had great fresh fruit juices, eggs made to order, bacon, cereals, yogurt, toast, tea and coffee. I took a look at the jacuzzi and it looked super nice, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to use it.

The most important thing I have to say about this place though is that the staff, including the owner, are incredible. They went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and happy. I had a medical emergency related to altitude sickness on my first night at the hotel, and the owner drove me personally to the hospital, waited there with me, and visited me the next morning at the hospital to check on me. After only a couple days at the hotel, the staff felt like family.
Location-wise, its an easy downhill walk to the Plaza de Armas, and one of my favorite restaurants in Cusco, Jack's Cafe, is right down the street.
What more could you ask for?

I recently spent 4 nights here during my honeymoon and LOVED it. Free accessible internet, attentive and friendly staff, gorgeous rooftop views, clean rooms & hot showers, convenient location and an extensive complimentary breakfast. Within a couple of blocks of the Plaza de Armas, great San Blas resaurants (I recommend Pachapapa's) and a convenient walk to Sacsayhuaman.

We loved Rumi Punku. The best hotel we stayed at in Peru (also the most expensive, but worth it at $80 a night). We stayed there a total of 9 nights in three different visits (before and after the Inca Trail, and after the rain forest). The only flaw was that they didn't send the car to the airport to pick us up as expected, but once we called, the car was there in 15 minutes. But the rooms are great, we had no trouble with hot water, the breakfast was the best we had in Peru, laundry returned on time and intact, and the staff will take on any issue or question you might have, including dealing with other tour operators, making calls, and advising on altitude sickness. We also got caught up in the October 7 strike, and the staff advised us to get to the airport early, before the strike started, which was the right thing to do. Bruno, Carla, and Sergio all speak perfect English and can advise on restaurants and anything else you might want to know. We much preferred rooms on the second or third floor to those on the first floor, which tend to be dark, but we talked to people who did not want to be climbing stairs at 12,000 feet up and liked the first floor.
