Must see for anyone visiting Cusco, it really showcases the amazing architecture of the Incas, and outside you can get a beautiful view of the mountains around the city.

“Watched the Inti Raymi Festival and returned later”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

This is a very visually stimulating structure that is about a 10 minute walk from the Plaza De Armas. There is an excellent gift shop and Artist display that sells original works. The interior is well lit and shows excellent examples of both Inca and Colonial works. Well worth the cost and the time it takes to explore. Great place for taking memorable photos both inside and on the grounds of Coricancha. This is a must do place in Cusco.

“Mixed feelings”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

This church offers a great way to understand how the Spanish conquest happened in South America. Inside the convent you find pieces of the most important temple of the Inka city, the temple of the sun (Coricancha). You can appreciate how the catholic church was literally built over the Inka temple as a way to show the power of the conquistadors.
The church is beautiful but I left feeling angry for what was done to such a great culture in the name of religion.
