A must see , while in Cuzco . Peruvian ( Inca ) history at it's best , in the heart of the city . Minutes away from the Plaza de Armas . My suggestion is that you must read about this monument BEFORE you visit it . !!

“Ancient Inca Temple turned Church”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

I was not overly impressed with this structure, however I did enjoy hearing the history and the facts behind the structure and also seeing the remaining Inca artefacts inside. It's shame that the Spanish conquest came and destroyed such a incredible civilisation, and enforced their customs upon the Quechua people.

“Great Local History”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Inexpensive admission - wonderful colonial displays - well worth a visit. You could feel the tranquility that the monks experienced in the courtyard. Some excellent values on non woven handicrafts on the 2nd floor.

“Go with a guide..”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

A unique mix of 16th century Catholic church construction, using much of the Incan ruins as a foundation and incorporating it into the overall design. Make sure you have a knowledgable guide to reveal the uniqueness of this church.

“Superb stonework”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Truly impressive to see the intricacy and detail of the stonework which the Incas managed to achieve.
