“A great example of fine Inca stonework”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

It is truly amazing to visit this site and witness how far superior the Inca era stonework was to that of the subsequent Spanish work. The colonial works surrounding the Inca temple have repeatedly succumbed to earth quakes over the centuries while the Inca work endures largely intact.

“WHOW - and all that without knowledge of the wheel”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is a remarkable sight to see. But, a guide is a "MUST" It's so difficult to know what to look at first. A guide can sort that out. No matter how many books you read before you get here, a guide has the 'reasl' experience to point out 'what's-what'.!

“Up close and personal with history”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

The temple of the sun is literally inside a convent. This is what happens when you build great architecture and the Spanish decide they'd like to repurpose it. For a very reasonable fee, you can explore the temple, see the former water ways, admire the cathedral and enjoy the lawn.
