“Nice displays”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

We saw this museum with a guide we had for a day tour. If you are on your own, combine it with the Pre Columbian Museum for the afternoon. This is well worth the visit, and is very informative about the Incan Empire. It does gloss over the Spanish invading the country, but shows some Spanish artifacts at the end of the tour. There was a local weaver in the courtyard, which was fun to watch.

“Enjoyed this museum for its history and displays”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Good museum and worth a couple of hours to better understand the history of the Inca Empire before heading out on the trail. The displays are basic, but have a nice variety of pottery and other artifacts. The mummies are definitely worth a look.

“A great place to hang out for a couple of hours”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

At only S/-10 per person this is great value for money. A good place to learn about various pre inca civilizations s well as the incas.
Also check out the various crafts men around the courtyard. You can learn how to make and decorate pottery. Watching the weavers is fascinating.
Don't pass up the chance to visit this museum.

“Amazing collection”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

This museum offers the Yalu University collection taken back to the US by Hiram Bingham. It was recently returned to Peru and is well worth a visit.

“The most complete Inca museum in Cusco”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

To know about the incas, this museum is the most complete one. There's a lot of information very interesting. I visited it when I began my trip in Peru, so I would know a lot of information of all the inca sites I visited then. I would like to visit it again, at the end of my trip, now that I visited a lot of sites.
