Great courtyard, food, rooms and decor. I really like these kinds of places, if you want people to pamper and carry your stuff, you will not. We stayed here twice, before and after a visit to Bolivia.

Three friends and I stayed at Ninos Hotel as we were acclimatizing before our trek to Machu Picchu. It was the perfect spot for us to stay during our lowish budget trip, and the quiet restaurant was a fun place for us to relax in the evening after long days of exploring Cusco. While I don't Ninos is for everyone, I think it's perfect for laid-back, low key travelers look for a clean, safe, and hospitable place to put up your feet in between your Peruvian adventures.

Loved this place! Cute picturesque hacienda style simple hotel/hostel. Restaurant is gorgeous with delicious foods to choose from, that is heavily influenced but it dutch owners. Rooms are cold but cute and simple. Showers were hot and super high water pressure. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We were able to store our luggage over night when we went to MP, no problem. Great value for your money.

While I admire the project aiding children, the hotel is not that great. The rooms are clean and the beds are okay but the rooms are very plain and cold at night. The wifi never worked properly and the staff didn't much seem to care. Breakfasts were good (but not included in the price). The hotel is a bit of an uphill walk from the centre of town.

The grounds transport you to the Cuzco of centuries ago while the rooms have a modern, tasteful flair. The staff could not have been more friendly. Further, the food was some of the best in all of the city--we could drink their mango yoghurt smoothies all day.

Bad:
*I was locked out my last night (came home at 12:45am) and the door was locked and no one answered me banging on the door. I had to walk the streets and find a hostel with a bed available. No one even apologized when I told them what happened.
*There is A LOT of black mold all over the bathroom (I stayed in two different rooms)
*Downstairs rooms are *extremely* noisy starting at 4:30am. Be prepared.
*WiFi is not reliable or strong at all. Super frustrating.
*Extremely overpriced for what you get.
*The staff is kind, yes, but not helpful whatsoever. I asked where I should go to dinner she answered, 'there are many places.'. i KNOW there's a language barrier, but I can speak enough Spanish to have had her help me.
Good:
The courtyard is gorgeous.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is good.
The philosophy of the place is good.
**
Overall: not good at all. TOTALLY overpriced and not worth it. Stay at a hostel.

We stayed here while on the inca trail. Great little spot not far from plaza de armas. Their restaurant was good and breakfast was always enjoyable. The only negative item I have was the wifi. Non existent basically. It would work for a few minutes then die. Staff kept saying it would be working later that day. We stayed for a week and it was the same. Not a huge deal but if you want to stay connected... Really enjoyed the atmosphere here.
