“Sweet place, very beautiful, great mission!”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

We loved our stay at Ninos. It was a little farther from the Plaza de Armas than other places we stayed at but not really a problem. We could easily walk there. The restaurant was great and the service excellent.

The courtyard can be a bit noisy if you want to sleep in so a top floor is better. I traveled here with my daughter who is 18 and we shared a bath and it was very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again!

very good hotel, excellent shower, good location with cafe with very good food on site. We arrived here in the evening, after visiting Machu Picchu, so didn't fancy walking around Cusco to look for a place to eat and were pleasantly surprised to find the cafe with open fire, serving very good food. Recommended.

On our first night and entry into Cusco and enroute to Machu Picchu, we stayed at the Ninos Hotel. I heard about it from a Filipino friend who had stayed there just couple of months before my trip and what appealed to me was the fact that this hotel was set up as a social enterprise which directly and indirectly supports local families. Its not a charity but runs a school and its set up helps beneficiaries sustain themselves and their livelihood.

We booked a taxi to the train stations and to other city locations in Cusco via the front desk at the Ninos Hotel and found out that the driver himself was also previously a child beneficiary from the establishment! So heartwarming ...

I booked Ninos Hotel direct via their website way before my trip and the booking was swiftly attended to and confirmed via return email.

Accommodation wise, we found the Ninos Hotel adequate for what we needed it for. We arrived late in the evening as Andean Explorer was delayed pulling in to Cusco. We rang the doorbell and was met with staff. We then settled in for the night.

We lugged the luggage up the stairs which was just a wee bit treacherous for me as they were uneven and rather slippery, but was fine for my taller companion.

The room was very spacious and clean. We got a 3 bed arrangement even though we were only 2 persons, I think we must have been assigned a family room. Celing was high too. The shower was nice and hot and while the wall in the shower stall had some spalling concrete, there was really nothing to complain about!

Towels were clean and the decoration was homely, with warm colours. The courtyard was super charming and nice for a sit down to chill out.

Do not compare it to your usual mill of hotels and hotel chains. Know that you're doing good as you travel and I highly recommend Ninos Hotel for if and when you're staying in Cusco.

We stayed there for a night on our way to MP. We were able to check in to the hotel early in the morning around 930am and the restaurant is excellent. The hotel has a friendly staff. The proximity to the hotel to the attractions is good. Not very close but took us only 10 minutes to get to the city center. Didn't have to worry about security or safety, pretty safe to walk around. We got the room on the road-side but there's not much noise and we didn't get bothered by any noise. The room was spacious and clean. Really enjoyed the stay in Ninos.

We stayed here 3 times during our trip in Peru. We were able to keep our luggage stored there whilst we travelled around. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Te food is great but the service is very slow.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
My only complaint is that they charge 6% for paying by credit card. I don't believe this is mentioned anywhere on the booking so it took several trips to the cash point to work around this as they like you to put your food bill on to the room rather than paying for your meals as you go along.
However, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Ninos Hotel on our way to and from Machu Picchu. The court yard was peaceful. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet - one drawback was that the only natural light was from a high window in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was an easy walk to the central plaza. We left our luggage in their storage area. Overall, a lovely stay.

We decided to stay here before and after the Inca trail. They stored our luggage while we were gone. It was a clean and rustic hotel. The rooms were huge. We had a private bathroom. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and we enjoyed hanging out in the plaza. We were booked into the Ninos Hotel 2 without knowing it. It's a little farther from the plaza then the original hotel but just be clear with taxis or tours that you book were to pick you up at. We mostly walked to the plaza and felt completely safe. It also felt good to stay somewhere that was going to give back to the local community. I spent a little bit of time watching the children play during a school break and you can tell this is a worthwhile charity. Do not expect anything luxurious. There was not a tv in the room. But, they did have free wifi. One night it sounded like there was a radcoon or something scratching on the roof and you can hear the hallway traffic (not the adjoining room noise). You can't beat the value you got for the money. Our friends stayed at other hotels and my husband said after comparison that I made the right choice.
