Romantic , touristic , Unique area in center Cuzco . Make sure that you are wearing good NON slippery shoes . Going through involves climbing style walking on slippery shiny stone covered streets . Above the average quality souvenir stores . Do NOT waist your precious daytime hours to visit . instead save evening and/or late evening hour for this . !!! The area gets more ...''alive'' after dark . !!!

“Very hilly but cute little streets, shops and little deli's/bistros”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

A good walk, as its very up and down, but felt safe and nice to walk around in... San Blas is the area right off the main square, behind the Cathedral. Many good little restaurants/delis/bistros with affordable (and healthy and delicious!) fruit shakes, fries, sandwiches, etc.

lovely artists habitat where you can get good coffee. If you're vegetarian head for lila's veggie place in the market.

“Quaint and Quiet Neighborhood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

San Blas, the artist quarter, is a labyrinth of narrow streets with great cafes, restaurants and shops to explore. It's a nice respite from the crowded and noisy central area. We stayed in San Blas and don't regret it. In fact, we spent quite a bit of time exploring the neighborhood, popping in and out of quaint cafes and shops and snapping photos at picturesque corners. The coca museum is located here, and is quite an educational and interesting experience.

“San Blas market”

Fun way to spend some time and money. All authentic Peruvian crafts and at reasonable prices. Indian women actually weaving the cute hats that are seen everywhere. Even a few live llamas are standing around!
