“The highlight of Cusco!”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

My option of Cusco was pretty average when I arrived because of the overwhelming tourism and high prices until I discovered San Blas. This quaint area was full of cheap guesthouse accommodation and many good quality restaurants. There are many fantastic places to eat especially the San Blas market where you can get some great filling menus of the day for barely anything and some of the cheapest but best fruit salads!
You cannot miss visiting San Blas if you are in Cusco!

Brilliant vibe, lots of interesting shops and a BRILLIANT sandwich shop called Juanitos if I recall which was an epic experience for lunch!

“Beautiful Area”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

If you are anyway arty then you will love this part of Cusco - colourful and interesting - folk selling their wares - but not pushy or anything like it - more into discussions about different things -lovely place for a wander and lovely place to stay!! Lovely folk as well!! Loved staying in the part of the City! Highly recommend it too!

“Great views and arty area”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

It's a nice walk - a bit steep (ish) but take your time, look in the alleys and shops, there are lovely sights to see on your way up here. Stop for a drink when you get to the fountain above the local square.
