“Walk up from cusco - take the road "choquechaca" to the entrance”
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

We decided to visit the site as it looked really interesting but couldn't find info on the best way to walk from cusco. We asked our hotel concierge who told us to walk straight up choquechaca. It took about 15 mins to walk as it's uphill. The site was really interesting but the highlight for us was taking photos of the llamas and alpacas that we're grazing the area. They were really tame so we got great photos of the llamas with the ruins in the distance. There was also a really friendly sheep that walked straight up to us wanting to be stroked!

“Inca Magic”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

This site is an engineering feat. How did they do it? One can only marvel. We had a guide how took us round the site explaining the history and pointing out the various points of interest.

“Great ruin to visit”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We really enjoyed this site. Our orient express guide, Darwing, took us here. It is really very interesting. You also get the most amazing view of the city of Cusco. I highly recommend a visit to this unique historic site.

“So much history!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Don't miss the rock slides - kids had a blast sliding down them. Sacsayhuaman is an impressive ruin as we'd been reading about the demise of the Incas this site had great significance.
