This location, an old monastery, is great for the history junkie as well as the hotel connoisseur. In the lobby, you will be greeted with coca leaf tea. Feel free to eat in the courtyard - the lunch menu is not simple, but not complicated either. Walk around the chapel and the small shop they have in the courtyard to get a feel for the grandeur of the location. The rooms have optional oxygen for those suffering from altitude sickness. Both restaurants at Monasterio are excellent, but if you are looking for something more adventurous, try Fallen Angel across the street!
