Ideally positioned in the city just behind the cathedral, immaculate grounds, highly attentive, smiling and welcoming staff. A well of tranquility amongst the hustle of the city. Very well-appointed and comfortable rooms if with slightly erratic air-conditioning in our case. It certainly qualifies as a leading hotel so expect to pay matching prices but it'll be worth it. We didn't eat dinner but the fabulous banquet of a breakfast would satisfy the harshest of critics.

It is truly a magical property, a monastery converted into a luxury hotel. It is only 5 minutes walk to Cuzco Square with lovely little shops. The food and customer service is absolutely the best. We were sad to leave and wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Book a room with Oxygen. Take medicine to avoid altitude sickness.

I just returned from a trip to Peru with my girlfriend. The Hotel Monasterio provided excellent accommodations and spectacular service. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with service par excellence. Christopher from reception gave us a cup of tea and a comprehensive welcome to the hotel. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent. The restaurant in the hotel was also excellent and had live music, including opera singing, on various evenings. My girlfriend came down with food poisoning (not from the hotel), so we had to amend our plans and stay an extra night at the hotel. Edson, one of the concierges, was extremely helpful in securing a suite for us for an extra evening, facilitating our communication with our travel agent, and arranging an alternate bus to take to Puno the next day. This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our 12 day trip to Peru/Bolivia.

The Hotel Monasterio in Cusco, Peru is first class. The building itself, hundreds of years old but in excellent condition, is fascinating. The location is right in the heart of Cusco. The rooms and the service are terrific.

For the second time I´ve visited and had dinner (this time with Opera singers) on thurday´s night. Everything was perfect. Our waiter, Martin and Maitre D Ruben were very attentive and made excellent recommendations. I would go again and again for many times every time I´m in town, because I feel that for us Peruvians they treat us as really special guests. My congratulations to the Chefs Ana Maria and Jorge. I can´t wait to go back.

I was not disappointed by my visit here. Five star service, beautiful room 419 overlooking courtyard, extremely classy, beautiful property. Can't think of any place I've been where the staff remembered my name when I got out of a taxi at the front door, or dropped my keys off at reception or volunteered to help me upstairs with my packages from shopping, if you like elegance, this is it,

Room Tip: 419 nice size and overlooks first courtyard
