My wife and I along with another couple recently returned from a trip to the Galapagos, Quito, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and Cusco. We stayed in 4 5-star hotels and the Palacio del Inka easily was the best of the four. While the rooms were very spacious, well-appointed and lovely, and the bed comfort was top notch, and then food was outstanding with imaginative cuisine both in the bar and dining room, it was the service that set this hotel apart from the others not only on this trip but any other trip I have been on. Absolutely every member of the hotel staff, at the front desk, in the dining areas, the concierge, and the room attendants were so gracious and helpful I could not imagine better service. It seemed as if their greatest pleasure was to serve their guests. Truly unbelievable! Also, I cannot forget how beautiful this converted palace is. I only wish I could go back to Cusco and spend another week at Palacio del Inka.
