“Perfect!”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

This hotel lived up to my expectations and then some. It is a stunningly gorgeous hotel given it was a former palace. Upon arrival, we were seated and given coca tea while filling out our registration forms. We were immediately brought to our rooms which were on the 1st floor.

The rooms were perfection! They maintained their old world charm with modern conveniences. Ours had a huge old wooden door that led into a good size room with very high ceilings. There was a antique hand carved desk in the corner that added so much charm to the room. We had a small balcony that looked onto a cute side road. The bed was extremely comfy with lots of pillows which I love since I often work on my laptop in bed. Bathroom was decent size and the nightlight was a good touch.

Internet was perfect the entire stay. Breakfast was included and held in a beautiful 1st floor restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious. A minimum of 2 croissants were consumed each morning! The courtyard was so cute and we enjoyed relaxing there with coffee and a book.

Service was excellent, concierge was great at recommending restaurants and tours. Hotel was very centrally located and walking distance to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and look forward to another stay here!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review our property and post those kind comments about our Palacio del Inka, that combined the old world charm with modern conveniences, also it is satisfactory to know that the room was perfect no only for the nice viewer to the city side road, also for the décor and the comfort of the bed. About the breakfast buffet is included with some special room rates; and also it is satisfactory to know that you enjoyed it.
The courtyard is below to our Cuatro Bustos Mansion, which is a heritage of the Cusquenian culture, as you said, where you enjoyed relaxing there with coffee, and a book. I am very proud of the staff performance specially the concierge team.
We will be pleased to serve you again in the future.
Kind regards

We thoroughly enjoyed the Libertador Hotel in Cusco. This 5-star hotel lived up to its reputation from front-door service to the helpful and cheerful individuals at the front desk. The rooms and common areas were spotless, clean and up-to-date with the latest décor. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of food. The impeccable service, including the baggage handlers, left a lasting impression. The location of the hotel was ideal for walking to the town square. Close proximity to many of the restaurants and attractions in Cusco was also a highlight for this hotel.

Room Tip: The quiet rooms are away from the walkway to the town square.

My husband and I just returned from wonderful trip to Peru that concluded with a two-night stay at the Libertador. The location is perfect for exploring the city - that is if you can pull yourself from the comforts of the hotel itself. The rooms are elegant, if a bit small, but there is plenty of inviting space in the public areas, especially the sunny courtyards. The staff were quick to please, and the morning breakfast so plentiful and delicious that we found we often did not need lunch.

Let me start by saying this hotel lives up to being in the "Luxury Collection" class. Magnificent building - superb location - tasty cuisine but the thing that puts this hotel above and beyond is the staff. Unfortunately we had an illness happen upon arrival and the staff assisted in every possible way including oxygen. Upon request they phoned the house doctor who promptly arrived and the staff assisted in getting us to the transport to the clinic. After checking out of the room the next day and meeting with Ozzie from Peru Adventures Paradise to finalize the details of our Inca Trail Trek we needed to request a room again for a few hours due to returning illness until the transport to the Urubamba property arrived. The hotel was gracious enough to provide a room within 15 minutes of our arrival back from our meeting. I would have expected a charge for this but upon departure we were told that there was no charge ... what a pleasant surprise. Service is A+ at this property from the concierge to the cleaning staff and everyone in between who made what could have been a terrible travel story into the best possible ... Thank you all!

Room Tip: Interior rooms are best as the city noise can be heard during busy city times due to central locatio...

Magnificent building and the location is close to everything you need. The breakfast buffet was well suited for the visitor clientelle and the service was exemplary. There are many religious overtones such as pictures and figures of religious saints spread out all over the hotel so if it's not your particular religion they are depicting, it may throw you off a little.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a great view.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review. I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the magnificent building and the location of our property.
In regards to the pictures and figures spread out around the hotel, what the designers tried to reflect was simply the art of that era.

Cuzco is a fantastic city and the Libertador Palacio del Inka hotel is ideally located within walking distance to the plaza and some of the best restaurants in Cuzco. We spent 4 nights here before our Salkantay trek and really enjoyed the hospitable staff, especially the concierge, who paid great attention to details and made sure that we always had dinner reservations. Hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Only complaint was the inconsistent temperature of the hot water. My best experience was at the Spa, where I got the best treatment of massage and oxygen to help ease my altitude sickness. The masseuse put a lot of care and attention to make sure that I was fully pampered. The massage was definitely the best I have ever had. I also used the pool facility that was tranquil and relaxing. Breakfast was good with lots of choices and the option of ordering made to order eggs. The best about our stay was that it was all on SPG points, that were reasonable (12,000 points per night) for the type of hotel and amenities offered. And, we were upgraded upon checking in.

We stayed two nights in early October. The hotel exceeded our expectations! It is luxurious and extremely comfortable - great bed, great room, great breakfast, great service, great staff! The hotel provides change for large bills, has an ATM and wifi is accessible for free in main areas. There is a business centre with free computer access and internet. Location is excellent to many attractions. Neighbourhood is safe. The hotel more than met expectations. I would highly highly recommend and would stay again gladly. It is a palace!
