Peru rail has nice trains with good service. BUT the ticket office in Larcomar
has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. we purchased our tickets over the internet. and when I went to pick up my tickets, I was told I could not have them!!!
why because I did not have my wife in person. Que Que? I showed them 2 credit cards., one from my wife and mine plus identification. she said my wife credit card needed to
have my wife present to pick up my tickets, because it was an Internet purchase. an argument pursued and she gave me the tickets. when I got to Cusco I realized she did not give me my return tickets. I could not believe she would personally sabotage my trip
and stress me out. luckily the agent in the plaza mayor was very vice and competent
unlike in Larcomar. she was going to fix it by giving me a refund, but she discovered it was my credit card and that was it. thank god!!! that fat rude agent in Larcomar should be Fired. stress is very dangerous for me, because I do not make cortisol. I just wanted to pick up my tickets and she stressed me out to the max.
