“Only way to Aguas and Machu Picchu”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Unless you have money to burn and can go on the Hiram Bingham the Vistadome was excelent. They entertained you, the view outside was beyond imagine, and it was great to have a table to rest on and write notes of your travels. I would recommend the little extra to take this train back and forth from Cusco to Machu Picchu.

“Comfortable and fun ride”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

We rode Perurail on our way back from Machu Pichu and the train was much nicer. The gave you nicer food, and set the table with Peruvian textiles. There was also a fashion show of things made of alpaca wool, which was fun even though the prices were quite high. I would definitely select this train both ways if I had to do it again.

“A fun way to travel to Machu Picchu.”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

We took the Vistadome by Perurail to and from Aguas Calientes, and it was a lot of fun. It takes 3 hours to go 57 miles, so the train travels slowly for great views of the Sacred Valley and the Andes. Pictures are hard with reflections from the glass though. We were certainly pampered with food and drink at the beginning of the trip. On the way back, there was a masked Peruvian dancer and a fashion show. Crazy but interesting.

My only issue is with booking of the tickets. It seemed everyone on the train had to switch seats, because despite buying their tickets together like my husband and I, no one was seated together. It was frustrating. On the way back my husband and I were seated on different cars! We had to wait until everyone was seated before we could get seats not together on the same car. Luckily a few others had the same issues and we all worked out our seating as it should have been to start.

“Great service to and from machupichu!!!!!”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

My wife and I, Phil and Rolly Dobbins, Aurel and Daniel Viregan took a ride to Machupicchu today Decmber, 8, 2013 on Perurail. We enjoyed a pleasant ride, and a tasty breakfast served to us by two fine young men, and a beautiful young lady named, Dinora Ferro. Dinora stood out in every way, her grace, her elegance, her appealing smile, mingled with warm and attentive service, made it an extra special journey. It was the same wonderful service on our return trip by Dinora, with an extra treat. She participated in an Alpaca fashion show. Every garment she wore looked fabulous on her. She bid us farewell when we exited the train with her stunning smile. We recommend that Dinora Ferro should be acknowledged for her representing perurail in such a positive and outstanding manner. We vote for Dinora Ferro for Miss Peru!!!!!
