The train ride from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes is one of the world's great rides and the Vistadome shows it off beautifully. Add a tasty breakfast and comfortable surroundings and you've got a classy and romantic package.
The only only thing that spoiled it slightly for me was the generic pan pipe music played on loop for the whole trip. Nothing against Peru's national heritage, but surely the country can manage more than one CD for all the buses, trains and public spaces?
Sad that all the train prices on this route are pitched so ridiculously high. There are plans for an airstrip close to AC which may bring the rates down some.
