“Feels like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

I can't speak highly enough about this hostel. I stayed here for two weeks while volunteering in Peru. I was in a room with one other girl and we became friends very quickly. The hostel is only a couple blocks from the main Plaza De Armas. The rooms were always very clean and nice. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. My roommate and I both got food sickness and the woman who runs the hostel made us tea and soup daily and brought it to our rooms, just like home! Also, there is breakfast every morning on the terrace, which has some of the most amazing views of the city. If I come to Cuzco again I will be staying here.

Room Tip: I recommend taking a room on the second or third floor. I had a room on the first floor and the wind...

In my opinion, this little gem is by far the best value accommodation in Cusco. I stayed here for 6 nights and then a further 4 upon returning from Pisac. The room was always kept spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and bathroom always had hot water. The location can't be beat, it is 3 minutes from the Plaza De Armas and close to all the great restaurants and sites. It can be a little tricky to find at first as you need to enter through a school courtyard to get to the main entrance but this means it is tucked away from the main street so very safe and secure, I had no hesitation leaving my bags in the room when out and about. If you're coming from the airport tell the taxi driver to go to the San Augustine International and it is just a few meters up the road from there. There's also the Scotiabank ATM just around the corner which is the best place to withdraw money as they don't charge you a fee and have high withdrawal limits. One of the other highlights of staying here is the rooftop terrace. You can enjoy your breakfast with a spectacular view of Cusco and the surrounding mountains. Finally, Tanya who runs the hotel speaks fluent English and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Always very helpful and accommodating. If you get the chance to stay here don't hesitate. Highly recommended!

The hostal is situated only 3 min by foot from the main square. Unbelivable that it can be so quiet! This is because its in the third pattio away from the street. Only sometimes the children from the shool nearby can be sometimes a bit noisy if one likes to sleep long. Breakfast is at the nice terrace with a GREAT 360-view over all cusco!

Room Tip: The rooms in the 3rd floor are the best because they have an aditional big window.

This hospedaje is the best place you can stay while in Cusco.
I traveled with my husband and parents in law and if we go to Cusco again we will stay at Munaycha Hospedaje :).

The location is perfect, safe, and near everything. You can walk to the main square, to the Koricancha, to El Sol avenue (change money, pharmacies), Mercado Artesanal for souvenirs at the end of the El Sol avenue. You will only need a cab for the airport, train station.

The rooms are basic, all you need for a good night of sleep after sightseeing. Showers are hot! tons of blankets. WiFi works all day. Breakfast was basic but delicious, coffee, bread, jam ,butter, black olives (soo good) and amazing orange juice!. There is always hot water and coca leaves to make tea.

We felt at home, Tania the manager was like a big sister/daughter , she called the cab to take us to the train station and made sure we had everything we needed.
Thank you Munaycha!

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor seemed more spacious and have 2 windows, one to the hostel garden and the oth...

This traditional house simply exudes character, with old fashioned, tiled floors, a 2nd floor terrace overlooking a lush garden, and hall walls covered with art. Rooms are worn and contain old furniture but the beds are comfortable. Showers are hot and if door is locked, ring the bell and step into a bygone world.

I really liked this hostel because, i felt at home and the attention was very personalized. The people there were very friendly and it had a wonderful view of Cuzco from a terrace.
The food was amazing, as it was home-made and everyone was always there to cater you every need!
The location was just two blocks from the main square, and it was close to everything!
I simply loved it!
