We were advised to stay in Andina Private Collection, when I happened on Rumi Was on Trip Advisor. 600 year old stone home, completely remodeled ?7 years ago with "family" who hover and take care of you like family. From hot carafe of coffee delivered to our room in the morn, to hot water bottles tucked into our beds at turndown, to the super comfy beds, to the outstanding made to order breakfast, to FANTASTIC city views from a balcony where we took our bottle of wine each nite, to the block off the Plaza de Armas location, you MUST stay here! We stayed 3 nites before MP and then splurged on Monasterio 2 nites after. This place was GREAT, as was all the staff.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Rumi Wasi (House of Stone) is a house with a colonial style built in the XVI century by Spanish conquerors and erected over Inca's terraces. The property was then bought by the San Roman-Vucetich family. Once the restoration was finished and after contemplating how beautiful it had been done, The San Roman-Vucetich family decided to share the warmth of its installations with Cusco visitors. Thus, we are waiting for you to enjoy a nice and comfortable atmosphere enriched for its architectural beauty, privileged view, history and tranquility. ... more less
