“Fantastic Boutique Hotel in Cuzco”

We were advised to stay in Andina Private Collection, when I happened on Rumi Was on Trip Advisor. 600 year old stone home, completely remodeled ?7 years ago with "family" who hover and take care of you like family. From hot carafe of coffee delivered to our room in the morn, to hot water bottles tucked into our beds at turndown, to the super comfy beds, to the outstanding made to order breakfast, to FANTASTIC city views from a balcony where we took our bottle of wine each nite, to the block off the Plaza de Armas location, you MUST stay here! We stayed 3 nites before MP and then splurged on Monasterio 2 nites after. This place was GREAT, as was all the staff.

Room Tip: try to get the room with the balcony; there is no pool

Hola. We were shipped here because of a double booking, which is fine! It is super cute and our room was cosy and looked out onto the side street but wasnt loud. It was super close to the main plaza, though up a hill (which we donʻt mind) and the breakfast was yum yum yum. We almost changed ou booking to stay here! The people running it were all lovely and the view from the top of the hotel is amazing. Would stay here again :)

This hotel was clean, friendly and offered a pretty good breakfast with a nice view of the city. Can not find a fault in this place. The only negative is the hill you have to walk up to get back from the main square, but to be honest, the cabs are so cheap that we got lazy several times. Pretty close to nightlife if your into that sort of thing. Toilet wasn't the best i've ever used and had to be unclogged twice

What a beautiful place, overlooking the Plaza! (Room 107) It has a private roof terrace where you and your sweetheart can enjoy the view with room service! Coming back to the room tonight, we were muy pleased when we climbed into bed, and behold...HOT WATER BOTTLES at our feet! Peaceful sleeps, and what a night to remember!

The Rumi Wasi was a beautiful little place that has so much charm. Everything about it is so unique and it offers a very nice experience. The staff is exceptional and when we were about to leave at 4am, they got up and gave us goodie bags full of breakfast foods! They also held our luggage until we got back from the Inca Trail. They were terrific at the Rumi Wasi.

My daughter and I stayed at the Rumi Wasi for two nights in June. The staff service was exceptional.
It happened to be my 30th wedding anniversary the day we arrived and my husband had e-mailed the hotel to ask them if he could pay for flowers or champagne to be put in the room. The owners e-mailed back not to worry as they would take care of it free of charge. When my daughter and I arrived the room was absolutely beautiful, full of lit candles, a gorgeous vase of flowers on the table and champagne chilling in an ice bucket !
I would say that this was above and beyond good service, I would call this exceptional.
Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is a lovely old mansion a few minutes from the main square of Cusco. Our room was very clean, modern amenities and really pretty. At night the staff put fluffy hot water bottles in our beds which I have never had in a hotel before and it was great.
When we were leaving we had some letters and postcards to be sent to Canada, the US and the UK, we asked for the hotel staff to post them and again they told us there was no charge ( the mail arrived as promised ).
I would very highly recommend the Rumi Wasi. We had a wonderful and memorable stay and would go back in an instant.

We had a very good experience at this hotel. We stayed in the room with the terrace and my parents stayed in the rooms with the stone walls. Both rooms were charming in different ways. You can't beat the city views from the terrace. Although it did get a little cold, the terrace room had a heater and hot water bottles were provided. I absolutely loved that they are "dressed" in sweaters and fleece jackets! So cute. I think we picked the best two rooms for location and noise. Also, the shower in that room has six shower heads! The hotel areas are very charming and breakfast was great. I liked that we were able to order exactly what we wanted the night before. We did not find the walk up the hill to the hotel to be a problem. If you are feeling a little altitude adjustment issue, the hotel will provide all the coca tea you could ever want. Also, location, location, location. On the main road as you walk to the square, there are vendors selling interesting jewelry. We only spent one night in Cusco as a whole and are glad the we chose Rumi Wasi. Manuel, the manager was extremely helpful and friendly. He arranged all our transfers to our hotel in the Sacred Valley and our return to his hotel. He was responsive to emails and everything that he set up for us worked out perfectly. If you need to make arrangements for your trip, even if it might be elsewhere in the area, he did a great job! We are very happy with our stay. Rumi Wasi was truly a more authentic experience with character than a larger more modern hotel and if that is what you are looking for this just might be the perfect place.
