Due to the pricing of 60usd $, and the fact me and my wife are newly weds and very low on cash(we are backpacking south America) we were hesitante about booking this class, our reasons for tihs were seeking new meaningful experience that we can bring back from South America as a couple, and in the same time get to know the local cuisine and even culture.

Erick, gave us exactly that and more.

In addition to extensive market tour, cooking and preparing two dishes and Pisco, we recieved complementary bottle of wine, a few selected dishes Erick designed and his cooks made for our tasting, and amazing conversations with him, his lovely wife who also speaks English, and his attentive staff.

I just hope he will still have time for more tourist as he is opening his own cooking school and runs 3 restaurants :-)

One of our most romantic nights in Our South America journey, as title says, worth every dime, we even ended up living a tip!

Rio and Tut.

Erik was very knowledgable of the fruits and vegetables available in Peru. The market was a nice addition to the cooking class and gave us a chance to buy some spices to take home. We enjoyed the cooking class and the amazing food,

We did the private class with Erick and had an amazing time. The trip to the market was a lot of fun and got to learn about the different fruits and vegetables available in Peru. The drinks were great and fun to make. He takes care of everything and is very personable. The view from the top of the Marcelo Batata is AMAZING! Best part of the class was getting in the kitchen and actually cooking your meal and then having the wonderful staff plate it for you so it looks great for the pictures. Highly recommend it. You also learn some techniques for cooking and knife handling and the recipes we have already done back home and come out amazing!

What an amazing experience. Was treated amazingly by Erick and his staff.
Started off by picking us up and taking us to the local market to learn and also try some local fruits, veggies, beans etc.... Then went back to one of Erick's restaurants and made an appetizer, main dish ( including cooking it myself) and also making my own drink ad tasting pisco.
Learned a lot about fusion type restaurants and food! Could really see the passion that Erik has for cooking! If you come to cusco, it is a must do, even if you can't cook!

This was hands down (aside from machu picchu of course) the BEST thing we did in Peru. My friends and I are all firm believers that a great way to experince a country/culture is through its food. Erick helped us do just that. He picked our class up (there were 4 of us total), and we went to the local market where he showed us lots of local fruits/veggies, letting us taste them as we went along. Erick's relationship with the vendors made us feel like locals as we toured the stalls. Back to the restaurant and we started things off with a pisco class, making two cocktails. Erick was very welcoming and we were extremely well taken care of the entire time. The food we made was delicious, and we had a blast in the kitchen. Erick then showed us to the roof-top patio (the only one in Cusco) where we enjoyed our after dinner cocktail and took some amazing photos of Cusco at night. Overall, this is an amazing experience and I can't thank Erick enough for showing us a wonderful time.
