The 4 day Inca trail was one of the most amazing adventures we have been on. Our guides Lucia and Max and our green machine porters and chef made us feel safe, welcome and assured that we could complete this adventure. Alpaca Expeditions has this whole excursion including transportation, food and sleep accommodations well down to a smooth flowing process. Porters had tents and toilets tore up and down, worked seemingly effortlessly getting our equipment where it needed to be. Although I know it was hard work. Chef made the most fabulous food catering to any food restrictions. I especially am grateful to Lucio who helped me on my 3rd day when my muscles were sore. He ensured that I got down this mountain and made it to Machu Picchu. Even porters were their support anyone if they needed assistance. Lucio was very knowledgeable as I learned about the Inca’s. Max was also very encouraging as we trekked and he put a humorous spin on our journey. Lucio and Max were also always willing to take many photos on this trip which was very important for me to have my photo memories. The Alpaca customer service team always answered via email any questions I had before the trip. Made me feel confident that we were travelling with a company that cared, and was organized. I always felt safe and inspired that I was going to get this most interesting, wonderful and challenging adventure done as part of the green machine team.

We recently did the Inca Trail with Alpaca Expeditions and it was an amazing experience. We were one of the larger groups doing it, but there was nothing to fault about the operation. Everything is incredibly well run, with the campsites being comfortable and well set up and the food being next level (I'd heard it was good, but it definitely exceeded expectations). Big shout outs to our Head Chef Moises and Head Porter Alejandro, them and their teams did an amazing job and it's unbelievable how quick and fit the porters are and was great to get the chance to meet them and personally thank them (they are the real heroes!). Also special mention for our Head Guide Daniel and Assistant Guide Walter. They both had amazing energy, passion and knowledge and gave us all a real insight into the Inca and Quecha culture and even tought us a few Quecha phrases we could use with the porters and rest of the staff.
Would highly recommend using Alpaca Expeditions.

My friends and I went on the 2 day, 1 night with camping trip on the Inca Trail with our guide Alvin. Alvin was so fun, interactive, organized, and informative. We also had a lot of various last minute changes to our itinerary (that we asked for) and he was very very accommodating. There was a person in our group who mentioned it was his birthday, and when we got back to our campsite, there was an amazing personalized birthday cake waiting. He made the trip so much better by teaching us all about the Inca culture and history, that I really don’t believe we would have received if we were with someone else. I will be telling all my friends who haven’t gone yet to ask for Alvin! He also took so many photos of us and knew the best spots to do it. He should be a Professional photographer!

The food was soooo great, the hike was absolutely perfect, and the sun gate and first afternoon at Machu Picchu was the best cherry on top, as we arrived when there was hardly anyone else there. Alvin sharing the details of his culture and history really enhanced the experience and made it that more special. No words could describe how amazing of a time we had that I will never forget.

Wow, what an unforgettable trip. This totally exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the Inca Trail hike was breathtaking, And Machu Picchu was one of the most incredible sites I’ve ever seen. Our tour guide Alvin really brought the experience to the next level. Thank you Alvin!! I’d recommend this tour to anyone.

I would highly recommend this tour package. The Inca trail was strenuous, but our tour guides, David and Lourdes, were great. They were reassuring, knowledgeable, and encouraging, but at the same time they knew when to give us breaks - both to catch our breaths and to take photos. They were friendly and understanding and never rushed us. They were great at picking out the best photo opportunities and they were constantly volunteering to take photos for anyone on the tour. We always felt safe and in good hands. Our tour guides never tired of answering our questions. The big pay off of our Inca trail day was entering Machu Picchu through the sun gate at the end of the day...when the other tourists had gone. So we had a spectacular view of an empty Machu Picchu and we came home with incredible memories and photos. The meals and accommodations were wonderful. The tour guides went above and beyond to make sure that every single person in the group of 11 had their needs met. It was definitely worth the price to be able to just enjoy and soak up the experience without having to worry about details and logistics! I can't recommend this tour enough!
