But get used to the altitude before taking a long walk! Brilliant colonial architecture. Best museum is the one right next to Palacio Nazeraneas - not on the multi ticket but worth spending the money because it will blow you away. Marvellous artifacts beautifully presented.

A fantastic setting at 3600 meters filled with cultural relics, wonderful architecture and an exotic people. Cuzco is in the foothills of Machupichu is just as impressive and aw inspiring. One of my favourite cities in the world.

We only stayed in cusco for 2 days, 1 night. We wished we would have stayed at least 2 nights. The old centre has great character, is lively and has beautiful buildings. Ofcourse it is touristy but it still has it's character and local feel. We loved it! Stay at least 2 nights!
(and try not to stay in agua calientes)

This town blends the beautiful Inca traditions with Colonial Spain. The historic centers have been beautifully maintained. The Cathedral is a GEM!

Cusco is a charming tourist city that is the starting point for many Andean adventures. There are many Incan structures to explore, many shops selling the usual tourist stuff. Plenty of nice restaurants and hotels of varying quality.
