City of Cuzco, Sunday morning. Many of the museums are closed on Sunday. My wife and I decided to visit the San Blas neighborhood and found "El Museo de la Coca". ( I realized, It was listed as a place to visit in our travel guide). First detail is that this is a small and unpretentious site but with a decent amount of exhibits and information that can give you a interesting perspective of the uses of coca in the Andean world, in the corporate world and, in the underworld. Entrance is free on Sundays as there is no guide on duty; it is the manager who greets visitors and if you ask questions, he is eager to provide the answers. I am not sure if he speaks Spanish, however the exhibits have descriptions in both English and Spanish.
The museum also has coca-related items for sale. I purchased chocolate and an energy drink (which seemed to work very well).
We spent around 45 minutes at the museum. I totally recommend it.
