“Great little hostel”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

Perfect location comfortable beds with warm blankets and a heater that actually worked! Only con is that the bathroom smelled bad on occasion from the pipes (sulfur or something?) and the top bunks are too near the ceiling-- you'll hit your head if you sat up. Also they charged me usd$5 for sleeping on a bottom bunk even though we had the 4 bed room to ourselves and weren't given a bed assignment-- but still was worth more to me to sleep on the bottom. Great cozy hostel in a cool part of cusco!

I stayed at Pisko and Soul for a few nights before a trek in June 2014. Ronnie and Fani were very helpful and accommodating and the breakfasts were great. The location, in the San Blas district, is perfect.

I stayed in a room adjacent to the street, but noise was not an issue. This place has heated rooms and hot showers, which is huge.

Stayed for two nights including rocking up at 5am in the morning very accommodating letting us sleep on couch with blankets. Brekky is nice and the private double with shower was comfortable for my girlfriend and I. Bit cold in the common area but otherwise easy wifi and helpful staff :) make sure you do the walking tour in cusco good background on peru

I've stayed at many hostels and so far, none of them made me feel "at home" as much as Pisko y Soul. The staff is absolutely outstanding, the entire building is spotless, the showers are very hot, there are two wifi routers so it's always fast, and there's complimentary coca tea 24/7! We were genuinely sad to leave this wonderful establishment and will definitely be returning if we make it back to Cusco!

I really loved my stay at Pisko & Soul! Yuder, Ronnie and Fani were always helpful, and were always willing to give me a helping hand. They made me feel at home and I really appreciate all they did for me: from taking care of my luggage while I was traveling to make sure I was not having more headaches due to the Cusco altitude. And the hostel itself is well located, the rooms have heaters and double blankets, everything is clean and they offer a very good breakfast! Highly recommended!

Great little hostel with welcoming staff and cosy atmosphere. I took a private room and paid $25 / night...which included breakfast, wifi, hot water, and an overall great experience.
I had been sick the days before coming so I felt really well treated by the staff there, who helped me with laundry, booking an extra night, etc.
In terms of location you have a Creperie 2 seconds away and some nice restaurants on the same street. It's a 7 min. walk to Plaza de Armas and the way back is uphill (but a táxi costs close to nothing so you always have that option)
Would definitely choose this hostel again.

I was a little disappointed by this place, having read the other reviews. It was warm, cosy, friendly and atmospheric, but given that the rates are not bargain-basement (especially for private rooms as the price is per person) I thought that presentation could have been better. There were no bedside lights, and only dim ceiling lights even in rooms with little natural light. Carpets were fraying in places and the ceiling of our room had old damp stains that a simple coat of paint would have fixed.
