“Enjoy Cusco by staying in a nice hotel”
Reviewed October 10, 2011

I booked this hotel via Booking.com. We had never been to Cusco before, so this hotel was a bit of a gamble, but it looked good and was reasonably priced. I have to say that it lived up to our expectations. The hotel is just a short walk from the main square and is clean, quiet and features spacious, modern rooms and a wonderful inner courtyard where you can sip a beer or a coca tea and check your email via the hotel's free WIFI. The staff is very knowledgeable, polite and attentive. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed a nice breakfast each morning. We also got a free ride to the airport on our way out. Next time we travel to Cusco, we will definitely stay here again. Excellent value.

Cute hotel with exelent location down town but peacefull. The rooms are very nice, coasy and clean. Every detail is being take care. Nice little breakfast. The staff was very nice, but I defenitively DO NOT recomend their support travel agent Jesus. He is a nice person, but he charged us doble costs in everything. He even charged us full ticket price for our kids to Machupichu, when kids pay half price. and we payed for a private tour, which he got a Terrible guide tour and promised private service in our way back to Cuzco but the persons who picked us up disay didnt know anything and we had to go back in a little bus with lots of people very tight for 2 hrs, and we were so tired we had to accept it ratherly than stayed at the train station. We payed for the service he promised we would have, and he didnt stayed with the deall even that he charged us much more the cost were.

Room Tip: Try to ask for rooms at the upper level have less movement.

Dear Claumun,

Thank you for your excellent comment and for having stayed at Tierra Viva.

Mr.Jesus, is not a Tierra Viva worker, is a private agent that we recommend, because we do have really good recommendations about his tours. Yet, we are going to transmit to him your complaint about his service.

Once again, thank you for your excellent comment, and we hope to have you again with us very soon.

Tierra Viva Cusco Saphi was a wonderful hotel, we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were extremely attentive and took very good care of us. One night we arrived after midnight from our excursion - the kitchen was closed, but the front desk staff brought delicious apples to us with water, because they knew we were hungry.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to Cusco.

Room Tip: All rooms were great, spacious - the bathrooms were phenomenal, the shower was to die for

Comfortable small hotel with a warm welcome from helpful staff. Well located in quiet area of Cusco, but within 5 minutes walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. We were quite happy with our choice and would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

This should be called a boutique hotel because the interiors defintely look so. I like how there's a patio in the middle of the hotel for you to enjoy the Cuzco sun. I like that they serve bottomless coca teato help you combat altitude sickness. I like that the rooms are cozy and the toilet is clean and modern. I like that ther is fre wifi so you can kill time resting in your room as a way to acclimatize. The only 2 comments I have against this nice hotel are 1) the breakfast which doesn't offer much variety and the 2) location because it is quite a walk to the plaza which can be a challenge if you still feel dizzy.

Thank you for your wonderful words about Tierra Viva and for having stayed with us.

We are sorry if you felt dizzy on Cusco, and felt that our location was not good. Yet, in order to avoid confusions to the rest of travelers, our hotel is located only 3 blocks away from the main square (5 minutes walk).
