Every room is different, quaint and romantic in it's own way. The hotel is perfectly located one block away from the main square of Cusco. They happily stored our bags for days while we visited Machu Picchu. Excellent in every way.

It's somtimes difficult to find a trusted lodging site when traveling abroad, but Trip Advisor reviews about the Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza were spot on. From our pre-arrival communications to our departure, the service staff and venue exceeded our expectations - not enough can be said about the helpful nature of the front desk staff - KUDOS to all of them - especially with helping us with taxi transfers to/from the airport and bus/rail stations - always on-time, price-honored, and dependable - something that we REALLY value in our travel when it comes to our safety and not worrying about making our flights and /or rail arrangements. In addition, our room had all the necessary bed and bath amenities to allow for a very comfortable stay. The hotel location was perfect, although the short walk uphill from Plaza de Armas can create a bit of fatigue during your first day in the 12000 ft altitude of Cusco. Also, the continental breakfast was great - especially sitting in the beautiful indoor courtyard - no better way to enjoy that first morning cup of caffe !! From a value perspective, the total experience at the Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza can 't be beat.

I think this hotel is a perfect choice for a few quick nights in Cusco. The price cannot be beat. And the location is right off the main square - you can walk to shops, restaurants very conveniently. I stayed a few nights in both different room types, standard and deluxe. The standard room is small, but well appointed. The Deluxe was larger with an upstairs seating area. Price difference was negligible. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, free wifi was excellent and front desk was attentive and very helpful (taxi's, baggage, suggestions etc.). What a great value!

The manager was exceptionally nice and was extremely helpful in resolving a problem with our outgoing flight. He also gave us a great restaurant reservation. THe room was luxurious quiet and comfortable and the location is perfect. WE thought it was great value for the money.

WOW is all I can say!
My husband and I stayed in this hotel and from the moment we booked it - we knew it would be exactly what we needed - especially after visiting Machu Picchu! The rooms are very clean and comfortable (no icky comforter…just clean white sheets covering everything! The bathrooms are up-to-date and modern and the shower was AMAZING. We had requested the suite, Room 501, which is separate from the rest of the rooms and we were lucky enough to get it!
The room had a space heater which was great because the room did get cold…the staff was very helpful as our safe was not working and they addressed it promptly. The large flat screen TV was definitely a plus point!
The breakfast was very good and they have a nice, comfortable dining area for guests. The hotel even offers complimentary internet computers which is nice (no password needed)!
I think it speaks VOLUMES about the hotel when they have a survey placed in each room so that guests may provide feedback and comments. With so many international guests and different levels of expectations, it is nice to know your hotel is always looking for feedback (both good and bad!) in ways to better the guests' experience! Bravo!
We would definitely stay here again if we were in Cusco..until then, we will keep our fingers crossed that they open some hotels internationally!

Room Tip: The suite! Room 501 is WONDERFUL! AMAZING views and a very nice shower!
