The food at Marcelo Batata is amazeballs. The 'chef's speciality', alpaca, is succulent and delicious - try the salt and pepper alpaca for a true taste of the meat, or the wild mushroom or honey and soy sauces for a tasty alternative. The fruit frappes are a monstrousity of fruit and ice, piled high in a cocktail glass, and well worth it. My friends and I (9 in total) visited here twice because the food was so good and well-priced, and the service so good: the second time we went, one of our party's meals was delayed by 5 minutes, and she was offered a free beverage in apology. If you're worried, the menus are in English and the wait staff speak very good English too... I just can't recommend this place highly enough!
