“5-star service in a boutique hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2012

If you are a fan of great service, you will not be disappointed. From the time we got there, the staff was very attentive, polite and very professional. The accommodations are very clean. Even though rooms are small and the hotel is compared to a 3-star US standard, the service is splendid. Just 1 1/2 from the main plaza.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms far at the back if you want a better internet signal.

We were dropped off at 9 am by our driver to this hotel and were worried that we would not be able to check in. The staff at the front desk were so helpful and accomodating and had us in our room within 15 mins. Then we were worried we were too close to the stairs, faced the busy street and the room was too small. Again unfounded worries. The room turned out to be big enough for 2 and we heard no noise from the lobby, outside or people using the stairs. Boy, were we surprised. Everyone speaks in hushed tones and even walk quietly....don't know how its done but it is! This is a fantastic little hotel that is very central. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and my only complaint is that we didn't have a few more days to spend here. Will try to give you a breakdown of amenities:
Rooms:
Not huge but well set up. We had to pack and repack a couple of times for different trips (Inca trail and Amazon) so had stuff all over the place but it was fine. My original fears were unfounded. There is a flatscreen TV in the room but never turned it on. As well there was a heater for the cooler nights. The beds are very, very comfortable and the sheets of high quality as were the pillows. No reason not to get a good nights sleep here. The bathroom had a raised shower and there was conditioner/shampoo in a basket as well as soaps.

Proximity:
We were a block walk from the Plaza des Armas. Really close to the central area. There is a grocery store right across the street and up to the right as you exit the hotel. Reasonable prices for snacks. It was easy crossing the street and while there is traffic it wasn't unmanageable. There are many restaurants, bank machines and even a Staples type store within walking distance. For those that are dying for a good cup of expresso/latte, Starbucks is set up in Cusco now and is within 2 blocks of this hotel. It was also a good place for our tour operator to pick us up and drop us off without endangering our lives.

Amenities in hotel:
Coffee/Tea (both Coca and regular) is available all day in the lobby and is changed regularly. There is a computer for guests to use right in the lobby. Wifi is available throughout the hotel. We had problems and the fellows at the front desk got one of their 'specialists' to come in and help my husband reset an IP address. After that everything worked wonderfully. Breakfast was superb and filling and started at 0530 so we could eat before heading out on the Inca Trail. All kinds of fruits, yogurts, breads are available and eggs are made to order. We were very full when we finally pushed ourselves away from the table. The rooftop terrace is so inviting, as I said wish we had more time. Really was a relaxing little place.

I really, really enjoyed our stay here and it was reasonably priced for Cusco. The real value behind this hotel is the staff and cleanliness. Everyone is working constantly and has a ready smile. The lobby is constantly being cleaned and they are always bending over backwards to accomodate your stay. Our tour operator in Cusco did not speak English very well and the young people at the front desk were always interceding on our behalf to ensure we understood what time we were being picked up. They even made calls to the tour operator on our behalf which eliminated our need to have a phone.

This is a good value hotel. It is not a five star with pool and gym facilities but it certainly does have what it takes to make a stay in a city that is a jumping off point to adventures very enjoyable. While sleeping in a tent on a rainy night on the Inca Trail, I thought fondly toward the bed I would be sleeping in at the end of the journey!

Room Tip: There are stairs everywhere but the staff will assist you.

This hotel is a true gem! My husband and I, our children and my parents stayed here for a week in April. Lovely, warm atmosphere, beautifully clean rooms, very convenient location near the Plaza de Armas. Attentive service and a very nice breakfast each morning. The property is exceptional and is richly complemented by the warmth of their staff who are so accommodating at every opportunity! Sincere thanks to Andrea, Oscar, Freddy and Eduardo who made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. The roof top terrace is thoughtfully done with patio chairs and tables, a gas heater, and traditional Peruvian ponchos for enjoyable evenings. The view from the roof top terrace is very nice too! There is an Apple Mac in the lobby for guest use which is very convenient. If you are fortunate enough to secure a reservation at this property, you won't be disappointed!!! It is a true gem!
Thank you to all. Trish & Family/NY

This was our favourite hotel stay in Peru. The hotel is new with modern design, yummy breakfast, and great location near Plaza de Armas. In the evenings after full day tours we strolled around the area for dinner, shopping and local ambience (including a festival & concert in the plaza). We got two rooms to accommodate our family of four (hotels don't have 2 queen bed rooms like in North America). Stayed there two times, in between we went to Machu Picchu and left most of our luggage at hotel. Thanks to our travel agent for selecting this hotel based on the star rating we requested.

I would recommend this hotel! I liked everything about it - location, breakfast, service, design of the rooms, roof top terrace. The location is superb, right behind the main square, close to everything. Breakfast was delicious, especially the bread, fresh juices and avocadoes.
The design of the rooms is great and everything is exremely clean. The staff is ready to help you in any minute. There is a roof top terrace with good view. It was great to seat there, drinking tea and enoying the view. There is starbucks cafe just behind the corner and it has the best veiw over the Plaza de Major, it worth visiting only because of the view from its balcony.

I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for great decor coupled with attentive service and perfect location. Rooms are carefully decorated and spacious. The hotel has a lot of light and the roof top with its beautiful view on the city adds a special touch. The staff is extremely helpful and gave me a lot of advice about how to get the most out of my days in Cuzco. Definitely a great place to go back to after spending the day hiking!

After a full day on a bus travelling from Puno we were delighted to arrive at this lovely modern hotel which is a short walk to the Plaza de Armes and all the shops and restaurants. Staff were more than helpful and the room was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented buffet style and the witress cooked eggs to order so they wernt the usual gluey scramble kept warm for god knows how long kind you get used to on the tourist trail. One minor criticism is the long flight of stairs from the front door to the lobby which can be a bit daunting if you are foot sore or suffering altitude sickness - however the staff were quick to carry backs up and down on request. Free internet at two computer stations and free wifi were also a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms in the from of the hotel appear more spacious and the ones near the breakfast area could be no...
