“Best place to stay in Cusco”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

I would highly recommend Quinua Villa! The rooms are amazing - so unique, spacious and our room had a great view over Cusco. The staff were excellent and their attention to detail was second to none. Whether it was from organising tours, tailored in suite breakfasts, to ordering restaurant delivery after a long day of touring. A huge thank you also goes to the staff and Manager - whilst on a day tour I broke my arm and the manager of Quinua met me on the the way to the hospital, took care of our luggage, helped with the language barrier with some of the hospital staff and came into visit post surgery to make sure we were ok. I couldnt recommend them highly enough

Room Tip: Pick the Taripay Wasi (modern) suite if you want an awesome view over the city

After many days in uncomfortable beds and with a bit of a cold, I was looking forward to nothing more than enjoying the saunas offered by this hotel. I was very disappointed to find out upon arrival that, though we had booked one of the most expensive rooms, in fact only 2 of the 5 in this hotel offer Saunas. The booking.com website lists saunas as an amenity of the hotel in general. We were unable to trade rooms and the fact that our room lacked the sauna we had expected was chalked up by staff as our own mistake, as we hadn't requested one specifically at booking. Though I may sound like a spoiled aristocrat, I am a VERY budget traveler who had this one night of luxury to spend with my mother before she went home after a short visit.
Breakfast was great and the place is beautiful, expect to have a hard time finding the quinua villa if you don't come with the transport that they offer, and expect to have to carry your luggage up multiple hills and staircases.

Room Tip: request a sauna!

This was one of the best hotels/apartments on our South America trip.Location a bit uphill, but close to centre to walk/you cant go by car till hotel/.Staff really amazing, kind and professional. Our rooms vere ready at 10am!! Good equiped and you have also a picnic bag with all basic food a drinks at room, all reasonable priced! Great breakfast served in apartments and wonderful views. Its really worth to go there and enjoy the property if you are looking for something special.

My husband and I stayed in the deluxe apartment over Thanksgiving 2012.

This is a well run professional boutique hotel that offers top quality at a readonable price. We looked forward to returning each day after our daily excursions. The breakfast was plentiful and served in our dining area each morning. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the proprietors of the hotel at the airport and escorted back to the hotel. I would highly recommend having the hotel arrange for transportation since the location can be tricky to find. We were wary that some folks complianed about the distance from the center of Cusco and the steps, but honestly the walk was fine unless you are not used to walking on a regular basis or far out of shape.

At the end of our stay we stored our bags overnight with the hotel during our trip to machu pichu. When we came back they were kind enough to arrange a pick up for us at train station and arranged for our bags to be delivered to our next hotel in down town Cuzco. Our experience on our last night at the luxury hotel had us wishing we had stayed another night at the Quinua. I would not hesitate to book again. This is a truly a hidden gem!

Great apartment style hotel in San blas area. We stayed at the Inka Wasi room and it was amazing. Very large bed, washroom is well equipped (there is even a sauna), also a kitchen and a great dining area with tv! Breakfast is good too, you can select the breakfaat items for the next morning. Overall location is great- away from the plaza so not noisy, only a 10 min walk to the main square. Lots of good places to eat in San blas (juanitos makes good sandwiches). Would stay here again.

My husband and I spent one night in the hotel and it was absolutely beautiful! Staff was really friendly, provide all information necessary. Our room was gorgeous. We enjoyed the amenities in the room (sauna).
Breakfast was fantastic and they arranged transportation to take us to the train station. We really loved staying in there, and we absolutelystay again if we have the opportunity.

Our room was huge, two floor apartment with two flat tv and a big bathroom with a private sauna included. the walls of the room where original inca stones and the decoration was really nice. The staff was really nice and the owner of the hotel was always there making sure everything worked as it should. Be aware that the hotel is in San Blas hood that is up the hill, you get an impressive view of Cusco but its 10 blocks up on the way back to the hotel. I super recommend this place.

Room Tip: the apartment number 2 is the best one :)
