If you are going to be in Cusco and want an awesome place to stay I highly recommend Andean Wings! From the outside you would never know that walking through the front doors you would find an amazing refurbished Spanish style hotel blended with authentic old world charm and European class! The boutique hotel has the feel of a Spanish Villa with an open, airy and covered courtyard restaurant in the middle surrounded by meandering stuccoed hallways leading to the rooms. Everything from the super comfy bed, nice linens to the spa like bathroom your stay at Andean Wings will be unforgettable!!

Room Tip: We stayed in 2 different rooms and they were both equally great!

We stayed here three nights, and were very happy with our choice. Excellent location in Cusco. The hotel is interesting and charming, the staff were helpful and friendly. Our breakfast buffets were outstanding--very fresh and healthful food, beautiful presentation, nice variety (including eggs to order.) We used room service for dinner once when we were too tired from our travels to venture out again, and the food and the service were very good.

We appreciated the free access to treated water to fill our water bottles 24 hours a day, and we relied heavily on this during our stay. It was especially nice that our waitstaff offered to fill all the bottles while we ate our breakfast. Our room was quite nice. Spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. We never needed to use the complimentary oxygen, or the oxygen bottles available for purchase, but it was comforting to know it was available if needed.

This is a beautiful and unique hotel in a very beautiful city. Highly recommend! (I rated the value as excellent, though I am just guessing here, as the hotel was included in a package from Adventures to Peru and I do not really know what they paid.)

Room Tip: If you have a large group, as we did, the suites upstairs were very nice. There were two bedrooms a...

We recently stayed in this hotel on 2 separate occassions whilst visiting Cusco, and the second time we felt a warm welcome back due to the personal service provided by the staff.

The location is excellent for visiting the historical centre of Cusco - the Plaza de Armas is only a couple of blocks away. The property was once a Spanish colonial mansion, so has a unique charm about it, nice and small, situated around a central courtyard. This small size also made for very attentive service by the staff, in particular the receptionist Brenda went far out of her way to help us resolve a number of issues with our tour company, spending many hours on the phone translating for us into Spanish.

We had a couple of issues with our first room on the ground floor, due to the small size and the noise in the morning from the courtyard restaurant directly infront, but we were swiftly moved with no issues. The room we were moved to was 212 on the first floor. This room was spacious (for Peru), felt much lighter due to the outside window, and had a decent sized shower with hot water. The only downside to the room was that there was no real black-out so the light poured in in the morning, and that the nuns of the neighbouring monastery liked to chime bells at ridiculously early times! The room itself however was very comfortable and had the additional benefit of a large sitting room direclty outside (shared with only 2 other rooms)

The breakfast buffet was simple, but the made-to-order eggs were great.

Also, we recommed Chi Cha restaurant just around the corner for a slightly up-market meal and a good cocktail!

Room Tip: Each room is different, go for a suite if you want a decent size, and the back is quieter

Location was great - just a few blocks from the main square; we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go in Cusco. Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms appreaded to be newly remodelled in a a very historic boutique hotel. I had not stayed in a boutique hotel before nor had I been to Cusco so I did not know what to expect but I really enjoyed the personal service from restaurant reccomendations to exchanging money. Staff was attentive when you needed them but not intrusive. We had trouble with a lock on our door and it was fixed immediately. They informed us promptly of tour or flight changes from our tour outfit. Breakfast was nice with a small buffet offering and a choice of eggs every morning.

Room Tip: If you smoke, ask for the room that has a balcony over the terrace. It was very convenient.

Andean Wings is a gorgeous boutique hotel situated near the Plaza Del Armas in Cusco, Peru. The elevation is a bit lower than San Blas which makes it a lot easier to get around at first when you arrive and are acclimating. There is great shopping and eating all within walking distance.
The rooms are comfortable with heat and plenty of hot water! The decor is chique and inviting and the hospitality instantly soothes travelers. Andean Wings has it all: A great bar with a big warm fireplace, a beautiful atrium restaurant, delicious food divine service.
The staff is ready to do absolutely anything for you and the connection with Another Planet Travel guarantees you can see and do anything your heart desires. When I return to Cusco, there is no question where I am staying, at Andean Wings!

Room Tip: All the rooms are delightful;. If you do not like walking through the atrium area that takes you out...

The hotel is in a good location, the staff is very friendly and helpful but the hotel has some issues and the rooms can be quite small and noisy.

We stayed At the Andean Wings with another couple in two separate stays coming in and out of Cusco so we saw 4 different rooms. One room (mini-suite) was very nice, great light but not real large while the other 3 standard rooms were quite small and noisy (one, "Mexican twin" was very cramped). The bathrooms are nice with good showers.

The hotel has charm with a lovely center courtyard and glass ceiling but that ceiling leaked while we ate dinner one evening during a normal rain shower. It was cool out and their gas warmers didn't have any fuel in them. There are some nice touches at the hotel with tea, coffee and good water available in the courtyard at all times.

Breakfast is good with eggs to order and good fruit etc at a buffet. The lunch and dinner food is nothing to write home about; pretty middle of the road and we waited 45 mins to get anything delivered one evening with no one else in the dining area eating. There is a nice small bar with a fireplace and good comphy seating.
