My husband and I were the first official guests at this new hotel, and it quickly came to feel like a home away from home. We stayed for seven nights in total, split into two nights (then Inca Tail), two nights (then Tambopata), then three nights (before returning home).

The service was excellent. As mentioned by other people, Javier is doing a great job as manager. His english is superb, and nothing was too much trouble. He helped us out with restaurant and shopping recommendations and arranged taxis as and when we needed them. He also made us feel that our luggage was very secure at the hotel while we were off enjoying other trips.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay in both deluxe rooms (of which there are two) during our stay. They are gorgeous. High ceilings, wooden floors and two comfortable beds in each room. En-suites are compact but have everything that you need, and there is plenty of hot water. The architecture throughout the hotel is lovely and it's amazing what the owners have been able to achieve - there are photos on the computer (in the lounge) of what the site looked liked before/during construction. Awesome job guys!

A light buffet breakfast is included in the price and included yoghurt, fruits, bread, cheese and eggs. Cocoa tea is always available to help you adjust to the altitude. My husband and I self-catered (well - wine, cheese, crackers) a couple of times, and the hotel staff had no trouble in providing us with wine glasses and plates. We had a fabulous time sitting on the terrace, admiring the birds eye view of Cusco, while enjoying some South American vino.

The hotel is based in the San Blas district and ideally located for walking to the Plaza de Armas (central square). It's an easy walk, and takes about 5 minutes. Restaurants and shops are all within a minute or two of the hotel.

Liked best: location, service, rooms, value for money, friendly staff
Liked least: nothing - all was great! At a stretch, I'd just say that you are staying in a city, and that it's a city that likes to have fun (so it may not always be quiet). This goes for any hotel in Cusco though!

Highly recommended and superb value for money!

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse apartment. It is very comfortable, and as previous reviewers have stated, San blas is a great area. It is within walking distance of many good restaurants, and the Plaza Armas. Noise is no issue whatsoever. Javier is a great manager, and will help you with any issues or needs you have. When the inn is open for regular business this month (April), it will be an even better experience for travellers.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Andenes al Cielo as they were putting the finishing touches on the place in preparation for their opining. The beds were fery comfortable, great shower and the view form the terrace is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpul. Javier, the manager, was always ready to give us a recommendation or ask about our expereinces in the city. The hotel has a lot of handcrafted details and the quality of the workmanship is very high. We had a wonderful time and would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants very good lodgings at a very fair price.

Our party of five spent five days at Andenes al Cielo boutique hotel in Cusco. Making the reservation was easy and the owners were great in answering all of my questions before traveling. When we arrived, Javier, the onsite manager, was great about helping us carry our million pieces of luggage to our rooms. He showed us around the property, gave us recommendations in the area, and was very responsive when we needed something.
The location of the hotel is great - it is in the San Blas area of Cusco, a very charming and picturesque area with quick access to everything. Its also within walking distance of the Sacsayhuaman ruins. We walked down from there back to the hotel and it was an enjoyable 20 minute hike.

My husband and I stayed in the penthouse apartment and it was just beautiful! I loved the sunroom and rooftop terrace. We also enjoyed making fires in our living room. The bed was super comfortable and we slept great. Hot showers were readily available at all times. The rest of our group stayed in the standard hotel rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with beautiful hard wood floors.

As an fyi, there is no elevator at the hotel so be prepared to walk up a few flight of stairs to get to your rooms depending on what floor you are in. We found this to be good exercise though and lost a couple lbs. from all the walking in Cusco on the trip :)

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope to stay there again in the future. Cusco is an amazing city and even though we didnt get to see Machu Picchu as planned, we saw TONS of other things in the area and found that we didnt feel cheated at all. There is so much to do in Cusco and the Sacred Valley - dont limit yourself to only Machu Picchu. Highly recommend Tipon, Ollantaytambo, etc. in the area and this hotel is a perfect launching point for all of these.

Went with a few friends and had heard beforehand that it was hard to find a nice place to stay in Cuzco. I was told that most places are either cheap and dirty, or extremely luxurious and ubra expensive. This hotel had the cleanliness and service of a 5 star hotel, for a relatively low price. My friends and i were extremely happy with the stay and would recommend anyone going to Cuzco, to stay in Andenes al Cielo. Definitely the best bang for your buck in Cuzco.
