Owner description: We have expanded our colonial house into a very modern INN & Spa. But left it's original landmarks, such as inka walls which are thousands of years old, combining historic and modern structure. Our INN is the place to be. Your Hosts at Samana INN & Spa are Juan Manuel Leon and Louise Hodgson. We are a Peruvian/English family here in Cusco, we will help you to get around town giving you the best tips and good recommendations to make you fell like you are home away from home. We are located at Tecsecocha 536, in down town only 2 blocks away from the main square of Cusco, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to all the major landmarks of the city also really close to the best restaurants, shops, travel agencies, coffee shops, and more. From our team at Samana Spa and Salon we are looking forward to your visit. Sincerely Juan Manuel Leon and Louise Hodgson

“Wonderful couple's massage and jacuzzi”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

My husband and I went to Samana for a massage and jacuzzi after hiking the Inca Trail. What a wonderful experience. We both have had many massages over the years so feel we know a good masseuse. This was the best massage we both have ever had. Having a jacuzzi after the massage was also a very nice addition. Plus, we were even provided with a glass of champagne each as part of our package. The price was extremely reasonable by North American standards. The spa is also very easy to find as it is so close to the main square. Would highly recommend this spa. Laura and Eric

“Soooo good”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We had an hour long deep tissue massage after walking the Inca trail. We also had a massage before walking the Inca trail, but not here, at a sketchy place after someone approached us on the street. The two experiences were at opposite ends of the scale in every respect.

Samana was quite a lot more expensive, but worth ever penny. It's clean, stylish, beautiful surroundings, and the masseuses really know what they're doing. It's popular, so worth making a booking, and so worth spending the extra money here instead of a lot of the other, lesser places around.

“Clean, Professional and Relaxing: Perfect Post-Inca Trail”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

My boyfriend and I did the Inca trail and were in "desperate" need of a massage back in Cusco. Before we had left we visited one of those "Off the street" massage places. BIG mistake. We were both bitten by who knows what and the place was less than clean. And I go to cheap NYC Chinatown massage places all the time, so I'm willing to overlook aesthetics, but it was really off-putting.

Samana on the other hand was amazing. It was bright, clean and airy. We saw a flier in a restaurant and they called for us and got us an appointment later that afternoon (the flier gave 10% off, as a bonus.)

We arrived about 10 minutes early and they were able to take us right away. We both chose the deep tissue massage. We were able to be in the same (private) room, side by side. The masseurs were both professional and asked if the pressure was right. Both of us were so relaxed at the end that we nearly fell asleep.

Nothing bad to say, just funny stuff - the music was a girlie soundtrack of this woman covering the most random songs - Nirvana, Bee Gees, Guns N' Roses. The only other thing they could have done was given towels for us to wipe off some of the massage oil with, when we walked out, we both looked as greasy as we had looked on the trail (but much less dirty.)

I would definitely recommend it to those who have the funds (it's cheap compared to NY standards but pricey compared to the 30 soles massages as other reviewers noted.)
