In comparison to what one could end up with this place is not at the bottom of the list. That being said don't expect anything remotely modern or furnishings newer then the last 20 years. Our room was old...very old. We did have towels and toiletries like tiny soap bars, and the hotel did provide us with a small heater for the cold Cusco nights in July (heater looked like something from the 1970's). The bathrooms shower curtain was about two inches two short, causing water to splash all over the bathroom while the shower was on. I unhooked the curtain from every hook but the two end hooks to make the curtain sag in the middle. This did the trick. But the staff that changed the towels out while we were away put the curtain back up! lol Overall the room did not feel very clean. Our room was all the way in the back on the first floor next to a gate that was the back exit of the hotel. This gate had NO LOCK, and I constantly found it open in the middle of the night when returning to our room. This just didn't feel safe.
On a good note the staff was very friendly and helped with any questions we had about the area. Also the hotel is located within walking distance of just about all of the attractions. This made our excursions into the city easy.
I've definitely seen and stayed in worse, but for the money I would not return. If you're picky about cleanliness I would definitely tell you to look elsewhere!
