The best Machu Picchu tour we can wish for! Our tour guide Elvis was always very informative and helpful, he made our trip very enjoyable. Also he was an amazing photographer too!
The company takes care of every detail and makes sure that you have an amazing experience throughout.
2 day trip is a great way of experiencing Machu Picchu, if you have a time constraint but still want to have an authentic experience.
Overall we would highly recommend taking a tour with Kenko Adventures - Elvis!

I couldn’t have made a better decision than choosing Kenko for my Machu Picchu visit. All was very well organized from the train to the hotel and meals as well, we were well taken care of all through. Elvis, our guide, was knowledgeable and always made sure we were all fine while hiking. The best part was that we could see Machu Picchu twice, so in case there is a bad weather one day, you can make it up on the second one. I would definitely recommend Kenko to anyone else planning to do this short trail to Machu Picchu.

This company did a great job of communicating and guiding us through everything with fast responses and personal service. Our tour guide for the 2 day trek was so patient and super fun and professional. We couldn't thank him enough. One of the best tours I've gone on for sure. We hiked the less crowded route and got to see every site without hundreds of people around us. Highly recommend

We booked the short Inca trail as a 4 person group. Before booking, we communicated a bit via email and all my questions were answered swiftly. A downpayment is required for the trip, understandable but still a bit scary since the company is rather new. Luckily all worked out perfectly. Our guide was Elvis and he met us at our hotel a few days prior to our two day Inca trail hike. He explained some last details and answered our questions. The height at Cusco was troubling us a bit, but he assured us all would be fine.

The first day, we were picked up by a driver and brought to the train station. Our tickets and lunch was waiting for us, all was very smooth and punctual. At km 104 the train made a short stop and we got off the train were our guide Elvis was waiting for us. We started our hike. The hike is a variation of flat, downhill and uphill. I would say medium difficulty level. The paths are wide enough and well kept by the rangers. We took a few big breaks to sit down and eat something, but also many small breaks to have some water and to listen to Elvis telling us all about the history, plants, animals, culture and more. Even for those not feeling well due to the height, this made the hike very enjoyable. Some parts that are steep up are tough, but doable. When you think you are almost out of energy, you finally arrive at the sun gate. Wow, what a stunning view onto Machu Pichu. We were lucky to have a view without clouds and because you arrive in the late afternoon, you are almost alone in Machu Pichu. It was a stunning hike with a great guide and to have such a beautiful view on arrival was really special. While decending to Machu Pichu we took several stops to take pictures. Guide Elvis took most of them and he is an excellent photographer.

We stayed overnight at a hotel nearby. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Nothing luxurious but definitely not super budget either. We enjoyed dinner together with our guide and then the second day it was time to get up early again to visit Machu Pichu. The difference was rather big with there being so many tourists the next day compared to the day before! Our guide Elvis explained all about Machu Pichu, which was an amazing way to see the site. We had some free time to walk around and climbed Machu Pichu mountain (separate tickets required). In short; an amazing trip to remember!

Some basics: We visited in mid September 2019. Weather was cool but not cold, luckily the day was not very sunny. The list of “need to bring” that we got earlier from the company is complete and tells you everything you will need. With regards to fitness level, I would say anybody who can climb 10 stairs without too much trouble can do the hike. Don’t underestimate the height, it made some of us very sick which influences your fitness level.

It was a fantastic experiece!
Elvis, our guide, was very professional, helpfull and nice. Thanks to him we had the chance to learn much more about Inca and Perù tradition.
