We stayed with Carlos for 8 nights and we could not have asked for anything better. We were so looked after by Carlos and his staff and the friendly atmosphere, coupled with spacious rooms which really capture the feel of Cusco. My husband got altitude sickness and was very sick and Carlos arranged for the doctor to come and take us to the hospital and then accommodated us for the days we were meant to be doing the Inca Trail. His driver picked us up and dropped us at the airport for no extra charge and anything we needed was organised and booked for us without any trouble. It was truly one of the best travel experiences we have had and we have very fond memories of breakfast times at Carlos’. Highly, highly recommended!!!

You must stay here and give it a go if you are passing through Cusco. Carlos is exceptional in service and speaks brilliant english which really helps when you are feeling a little under the weather with the altitude and he will help you sort everything out for your day. The breakfast was great and a fabulous place to meet the fellow guests. Nice and quiet and big airey rooms. Whilst not in the centre, it is only a short walk and the nearby restaurants are out of the way of the crowds. Would absolutely go back!

This was a great place to stay, with modern bathroom and a lot of character. Wooden beams on the ceilings, a super comfy bed and a nice plasma tv for relaxing. The breakfast was really really good and the owner was really helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. There are only 3 rooms, so it's always really quiet. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family!!

My husband and I stayed at Second Home Cusco at the end of August for 3 days and had a very enjoyable stay. I have made the reservation a number of months prior, and had always recieved very quick responses and always recieved very detailed explanations to my questions. We even had to make a very last minute change right before departing for Peru and Second Home was very accomodating, didn't ask any questions and simply made the change for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. They were very eager to help, but not 'at your face' kind of eager. It's more "you know they are there for you if you need them" kind of eager. For example, we had to have our breakfast at 4:30am on the last day so we can be picked up for Inca Trail hike, and they were there with the food ready for us, with a smile! If we want to use the laptop or borrow a book, they gladly let us. The kindness just felt very genuien.

The room was very clean, and we loved the nice clean blankets and pillows. They were bright white and just very very clean. The bed can compare to beds say at Marriott.

The room we had also had a seating area and that was very pleasant just to have a seperate area to hang out in the room. They also gave us 2 bottle of water ever day and that was great too since we had been very careful with water while at Peru.

Originally we thought because our room was right above the inner courtyard and by the entrance and it might be noisy, but it was absolutely fine.

We also quite enjoyed the location. It's a good 5-10 minutes walk to the 'main square' and still very easy to get to stores and restaurant. And it felt very safe to walk around. I actually think it made the experience more 'autentic' to be a bit away from all the tourists and shops.

If you want somewhere with very fancy hotel ameneties e.g. spa, gym, doorman, room services, then this probably won't meet those criteria. But if you want a bed and breakfast that is quaint , personal and friendly, this is the place to stay at Cusco.

We enjoyed this even more than the fancier and more expensive Andina Hotel in Cusco. The owner, Carlos, son of the great artist Victor Delfin, was a joy to talk to; and his hotel is a very nice retreat in the artist district of Cusco, in close walking distance down to the main square.
