Owner description: Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the PeruRail Titicaca Train is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

“one way trip”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Great budget alternative to see Macchu Picchu.
Would suggest one way on the Andean Explorer and one way on the Vistadome.

“Cuzco to Puno”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The Andean Explorer to Puno from Cusco was great first class trip and worth the extra money. Only one problem that Peur Rail has is catering for English speaking people and giving better explanation of what is included on the price of the trip and what is extra. We nearly had a mutiny when we arrived at Puno when there EFTPOS machine did not work. They want cash for any extra purcases onboard the train. Taking this away, it was an outstading experience.

“Unforgettable - for the best reasons!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The Cusco railway station lounge welcomed us with comfortable lounge chairs and a most enjoyable 4 member pipe band wearing traditional clothing. It was a shame to leave it but the train itself was even better - in the fine style of Pullman 1920 trains - comfortable lounge chairs, tables with white damask tablecloths, each with a beautiful red rosebud which opened throughout the day. The rear open air observation car and bar was perfect for viewing the spectacular scenery as well as the entertainment by the same pipe band. The staff were very professional and versatile, providing a fashion parade of local clothing and dancing in local costumes. The food was superb and beautifully served. Even the toilets were spacious and elegant with beautiful wood paneling and a vase of red roses. A fabulous experience that I'd love to repeat.

“A Pure Tourist Attraction”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

The train is luxurious and the staff is very kind. The meal is simple yet, a very small portion. The choice was soup, salmon with veggies, or 5 ravioli instead. End ing with a piece of chocolate mousse pie. Though there was on-board entertainment, it was geared to sell you something. The train, for the most part, followed the highway to Puno. So, for the cost of $210 USD, I felt it was severely over priced.
