“A Mi Manera in Cusco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

My husband and I totally enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the meal. We were not into all the tourist restaurants that all seemed to have the exact same expansive menu and we were looking for something a little different. A Mi Manera is a small restaurant with a not-so-touristy menu. I was suffering from altitude sickness with a constant queasiness - but totally enjoyed the french fries and Dieta de Pollo soup. They had a very nice herb tea with fennel, mint and cocoa. I would highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for quiet atmosphere.

“Good food, compact restaurant.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

The food here is good and the restaurant enjoys quite a reputation, reservations required as it gets busy. It occupies the first floor off a courtyard opposite the Bishop's Palace in Cusco. The compact nature of the restaurant means that it can feel cramped. Service is good, as to whether the food is as good as it's highish prices is debatable. There is a lot of very good competition in Cusco. Don't fret if you cannot get a table here.

“Very Good Food & Service, Not Ideal for Children”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

Had some very tasty Peruvian food, including excellent ceviche, chicken adobe (like a spicy stew), and a stuffed pepper appetizer. The chocolate mousse dessert was quite good. Our server was very pleasant and conscientious. However, being charged full price for two dishes of pasta for our kids, with just oil and some cheese is not fair. I guess this restaurant is not used to having children come for dinner.

“What a Cuy!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

Had lunch at Ami Manera. I decided to try the cuy (guinea pig). It was actually quite tasty. Crispy, crackly skin and flavoursome meat. I hate to say it but it tastes like the dark meat of chicken. My wife had the chicken (or so they said) and she thought it was Ok.

Overall, the food and service in the restaurant was OK.

Excellent staff, very attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. We went 2 nights while we were staying in Cusco. Food was amazing, try the shrimp!
