Indoor and outdoor courtyard dining, with a wood oven and heat lamps for chilly nights. We had an excellent braised lamb shoulder cooked in an iron pot, and tasty wood oven pizza. Also have a great deal for a snack (S/.30 alpaca anticucho or pizza w/ a Pisco sour and beer or wine from 4-6pm and 9-11pm)

But still, the chicha morada here was the best we had in Peru (tasted like Christmas) and all the food was very good, especially the oven cooked bread. We had wanted to sit outside and had been told there would be a harpist - neither of which happened - so that put a bit of a damper on the occasion. It would be a good place for a romantic dinner.

the pros:

location, service, atmosphere

the cons:

food is just okay. this is very much a tourist oriented restaurant. plating was nice enough, but the seasoning was clearly gringo-oriented, as in BLAND. also, my dish (aji en gallina) was unevenly heated, but not so bad i couldn't eat it.

Food was incredible and service was excellent. we did not have a reservation but the host was very accomodating and got a table for us. Don't miss the Peruvian dips that they give with the bread. Delicious.

It was that enjoyable. During the daytime the open air "plaza" was a great place to sit, under umbrellas under the sun. In the colder evenings, the interiors were warm and cozy. Live Andina harp music as well. The food? Very good and a pleasure to see - and of course, taste. Service was very good too!!
