We started our Peru trip here in this nice hostel. We booked upfront and the pre-service was nice with emails, etc. When we arrived the owner was there to explain everything, and he did in a very nice way and made us feel mostly welcome. The people working there are kind and helpful, but sometimes it takes a long time, but good service
He had moved us to a very nice room, just next to the reception, and it was perfect. The room had a big bed, hard, but ok - and a bathroom. It is quite big and with a window to the street. What to us is the most important - HOT WATER - was provided, and it was sufficient. The breakfast, in the 1. floor, was nice with bread, coffee, milk, tea, jam, butter, eggs....
It is a calm place to stay, and there is a nice restaurant just across the street, which serves really delicious food - very cheap. You have to walk about 10 minutes to reach the main square of Cusco, but nothing to mention. On the way you will pass a lot of interesting shops, where you can buy what you need for the daily life.
We can recommend the place, as a nice stay before and after the Inca Trail - as we did....More
