We stayed here 2 nights before we went to Machu Picchu, and another night on our way home. The hard working, friendly staff helped make this trip wonderful! The beds are cozy, the showers are hot, and the wifi is free!!! I would recommend this hostel to all of my friends! =)

We stayed here twice for a total of four nights before and after our Inka Trail.
The place has a very local feel (it is a converted family house). The people are very helpful, some speaking good english.
We specially liked the strong hot showers, a rarity in the Andes (no electric shower heads here).
Breakfast is good, if not extraordinary: good coffee, typical bread and jam and one daily changing extra like eggs or a pancake.
For our trail they stored our luggage for free. Check in time normally is 10am(!!) and earlier if a room is available, which is great, when arriving by overnight bus.
We stayed in three different private rooms, they all had cable TV. Downside for us: No doubles just twins.
In one of the private "ensuite" rooms our private bathroom was actually outside of the room in a small corridor, connecting two rooms and bathrooms.
What else...? Small book exchange; free, good wifi, one free computer; very helpful staff.
Recommended.

Room Tip: Ensuite room if only 2$US more than shared bathroom. So go for ensuite, if available...

We stayed here before our visit to Macchu Picchu and enjoyed it immensely. Simple breakfasts with banana and toast and coca leaf tea but great service from Alan. He gave us lots of maps for the city and was always up for a chat about anything! Big thankyou to him for helping make our stay memorable and a home away from home!

Located 10 minutes from Plaza de Armas, this hospedaje has an colonial feeling. Everything is well preserved, and well decorated. The living room has a ping pong table, and a huge collection of DVDs which you can choose an see. The room I was in had a beautiful Machu Pitchu painting on the wall. It was simply amazing. Everything was clean, the people very friendly. The breakfast was well served and nice food. Katy is one of the hosts, she is super friendly and nice, always on a good mood. I recommend this place if you want to spend some days in Cuzco.

We stayed here the night before and the night following our Inca Trail hike. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. When we had to wake up at 3:30am for our pickup, they also got up to say goodbye. They stored our bags for us while we were on the trail.
The hostel is about a 10 minute walk to town and when dark out, it came seem a little bit sketchy. I would definetly not recommend walking it alone.
The hostel was clean and quiet. It is pretty basic. We booked a room with private bathroom and I was slightly disappointed that even though our bathroom was private, it was not in our room. We stayed in 2 different rooms and it was the same scenario.

As a very experienced traveler, I was impressed that when the owners were away on vacation the quality staff here was still extremely helpful to guests' needs. This is a homey hostel with CNN, BBC and TLC in English, along with many other TV channels. Everything in Cusco worth seeing is not more than $2 away by taxi. I certainly paid much more in Peru for less comfort. Unusually here the staff's English, personal interest and courtesy was good. Although the kitchen and refrigerator for your use are small, there was plenty for my needs. There is a garden, terrace, large recreation room and many interesting collectibles by this family. Very nice and very clean hostel. Friendly staff and every morning a continental breakfast with a special treat (sometimes pancakes!). Big living room with games and a lot of movies, very nice after a night of partying in Cusco. The shower was the best I ever had in Peru.
