We stayed at La Casa de Avila the night before our trek, left our bags there during our trek and rented a room for the day we returned. All in all, our experience was very positive.
The hotel is cute and clean. The rooms have nice showers, comfortable beds, tvs and free wifi. There is a great central garden area to hang out in and the cooking classes looked like a lot of fun. Staff was, for the most part, helpful. Some were more willing to go out of their ways than others, but they were responsive to our questions. The hotel is located on a quiet, residential, road about 5-7 minutes from the city center, which we liked. I would certainly stay there again.
