“Close to what Arequipa has to offer”

This hotel is very concious of its guests safety and it is very close to the city plaza, the Monastery, and the museums. We were welcomed like family and had our suitacses carried up to our rooms which was good because this was our first experience with altitude, and there are no lifts. Rooms were ok in size and comfortable but the decor was very aged. Breakfast was adequate which resulted in very little wastage which is to be commended. Walk up the stairs to the roof for good views of the city and wonderful landscapes with volcanoes. Value and location are great, ambience is a bit dated.

I would definitely stay again and happy to recommend. I don´t quite understand how some of the more highly rated hotels on Arequipa tripadvisor can be that much better that they justify between 70% and double the price here. Very good value for money, at a great location. Walking distance from all the central attractions and restaurants, yet not having any noisy place on the same street block - and the monastery wall in front. The view from the top is also great - while trees block some of the monastery wall, you certainly get an all-round idea of the city and most of all the volcano back-drop.

The room - facing to the back (nice and quiet) - was very pleasant: no huge luxury but all very functional and making for a good night´s sleep and all very clean (only the shower didn´t run off as well as it should - a construction issue as the tiles were partly lower than the run-off).

Staff friendly and helpful at all times. The only thing that I don´t quite understand why breakfast is so early on a weekend (7 to 8.30am). They were admittedly a bit flexible, but before 9am on a Sunday the buffet was cleared.

Room Tip: Back rooms are surely quieter and I suggest 3rd floor for a bit of a view (at the back). I would als...

We stayed in this hotel for five nights while in Arequipa. The entire hotel is very clean. Rooms are a nice size with all of the necessities: safe, cable tv, chair for relaxing. You can request a hair dryer and portable heater if you need them. Nice view of the volcanoes and parts of the city from the roof. The location is good for walking to the Plaza, restaurants and many alpaca and tourist shops. Any request we asked of the hotel staff was quickly and pleasantly addressed. They even changed out a torn bill we had that the local stores would not accept. There is a little bit of street noise but that is to be expected so close to the center of town but nothing earplugs can't fix. The hotel does not have a swimming pool or fitness center as checked below.

I was in Arequipa for a month for Business and spent the time in this Hotel.
The owners are very gentle, rooms are good and cleaned and breakfast is good with a lot of fresh fruits and freshly baked bread.
Location is very nice just a few minutes walking from the Plaza des Armas of Arequipa, in front of the wonderful Monasterio de Santa Catalina
They also have a very cheap laundry service in less than 24h

I have stayed at this hotel 6 times by now, and I just love it !
It is situated in the center of Arequipa, five minutes walk from Plaza de Armas.
The employees are friendly, helpful and very pleasent, always meeting me with a smile.
I experienced a care for me as a guest above the average.
The rooms are nice and clean with a comfortable bed.
There is also a very nice roof terrace with a wonderful view all over the city.
I travel twice a year to Arequipa, and I always come bak to "my home" here.

This was a good basic accommodation. We only stayed for one night as we were backpacking but the service was very good. The room we shared was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly. This is no great luxury but for the price it did the job very well.

We stayed there for four days and they did everything to make it comfortable for us. The gave e.g. a better price for tours and a cheaper price for the room as normal. We even could keep the room meanwhile we where away for one night and also when waiting for a night bus.
