I've eaten at some of the finest restaurants in Arequipa, and Lacla is the place I keep returning to. I'm a student here, and no place compares. If you ever consider going to Starbucks, for example, instead visit Lacla, the more genuine option. It excels a coffeehouse, but its much more. There's no place better to meet or do work than in the patio of this casona. As a restaurant, it's equally wonderful. The sandwiches are generous, cost-effective, and most importantly, delicious. Everything I've seen come out of the small galley kitchen looks great. When I'm with friends looking for a weekday lunch, or have to camp out with a textbook and some great coffee, Lacla is always first on my list.
