Had some beautiful hours in the monastery. The different plazas and streets are beautiful. Make sure to bring a good camera with you, you can make great pictures.

Being one of the major attractions in the area it is therefore a must see. The monastery has a very interesting history and there are many interesting stories to go with the tour. It's quite large and it will take a good 2-3 hours with stops to fully appreciate it.

We enjoyed a private tour of the monastery. It gives a step into the past and the lifestyles of the young woman who joined. Great view from the top. Well worth a visit.

The Monasterio is a complex collection of streets, houses, and rooms within a cloistered community of nuns. A guide is well advised and is inexpensive.

This is one of our favorite places in Arequipa. The stories of the nuns who lived here and the beautifully restored apartments are a wonderful history lesson. Bring your children, explain the antique washing machines and the beehive ovens. Learn why and how these women were living a cloistered life and how they stood up to the archbishop regarding their activities. Take your time wandering the narrow aisles of this city within a city, so serene and peaceful.

The huge monestary close to the city centre is well worth a visit. Though the cost is pretty steep at 40 sol per person it delivers a beautiful and realistic look into the world of the nuns many decades and centuries ago. It will keep you busy for 3-4 hours.

The monastery is home to an order of Dominican nuns. The buildings are of great historical interest and are beautifully maintained. Our tour was led by an English speaking guide who was able to provide a most interesting history of the complex..

A great part of the history of Arequipa lies inside these walls. A must if you want to know about the past in colonial times.
