“Fun place to go when you're hungry for a big lunch”
Review of Alma Bendita

The almuerzo has slight variations (with or without soup, one main or two mains, etc.) and is served cafeteria style. It isn't a vegetarian restaurant but has at least one vegetarian choice. All you can drink juice -- sweetened or unsweetened. Going before 1:00 to beat the rush and to get a table is a good idea, as is going after 1:45. You may have to share a table if you don't.

Pleasant, helpful staff and pleasant atmosphere on the 2nd floor. More expensive than your average almuerzo place, but worth the extra cost.

A great place for lunch, we enjoyed their daily menu for $3.75. The place is a bit hard to find, as it is upstairs but worth seeking out. It is clean and pleasnat - and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I especially liked the unlimited freshly made juice - available with or without sugar!

This is a higher-class almuerzo, and the price reflects. First, you get a choice for the main dish and as much or little as you want for the sides. They usually have a vegetarian choice for the main dish as well. For 3.75, I got breaded fried pork chops, my friend got chicken, and then we got rice, salad (didn't get sick from it), and beans/corn (not sure) with fried pork. They had fresh pineapple juice with and without sugar. It also came with a fruit mousse that wasn't too sweet.

The restaurant is nice with white table cloths and comfortable seats. The staff was very accommodating and even had the menu in English. They understood both Spanish and English when we ordered. I agree with the other poster who said get there a little early, it fills up around 1:00 pm. I'll be back!

This restaurant is only open at lunch time serving a fixed price lunch which is excellent! Need to get there before 1 pm or else full of local business folk.

I eat at Alma Bendita on a regular basis and seldom experience disappointment. The restaurant environment is pleasant and clean. The staff are friendly and efficient. For $3.75 you can choose one of 3 entre options along with salad, rice, a side dish, soup, desert and a bottomless glass of juice. So, I keep returning.
