“Climb the Staircase to the Top!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014

Churches aren't very exciting to me, but I found this one interesting. One, the doorway is incredible. I kept walking by it to have one more look. Two, you can climb a winding stone staircase to the top for a $1 and get a pretty good view of the city.

“Beautiful Cathedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

This Cathedral is beautiful. The main altar is beautiful, as are the small chapel altars around the perimeter of the church.

“An architectural inspiration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

If you get awed by ornate grandeur, you've come to the right place. Free entrance to a work of perfect art. The colorful stonework is warm and, if I understood correctly, is native to Cuenca. Its clear why so many are drawn here, for one reason or another.

“Absolutely Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014 via mobile

I spent a week in Cuenca and came here most everyday. This cathedral is breathtaking, you just want to take it all in. So inviting to come in to light a candle and sit and pray.
Also for $1 you can climb a winding staircase to the top of the cathedral, from here you can see the whole city. It is a long way up, but well worth it!

“Beautiful church.”

It was beautiful both outside and inside and is in an ideal position in the centre of town beside a lovely square/plaza.
