“Watch for the harpist by the front door”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

A small and very colonial structure that also faces the main square - when we visited recently there was a harpist playing his instrument and selling CDs - it was a nice way to enter this dignified structure.

“SPECTACULAR ARCHITECTURE”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

When I am in South America, I simply adore the local "flavour" of the religious architecture there! The cathedral has an interesting story!

“Magnificent tribute to God & faith”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Magnificent architecture - especially the domes done in blue Czech tile. Would have rated in much higher had we been able to even peek inside any of the many times we walked by.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

As you travel through Ecuador you will see a lot of beautiful Catholic churches... The most beautiful by far is the golden La Compangia de Jesus in Quito, but this church is also quite beautiful and defintely worth a visit. And the flower market near it is a delight to walk through. You can buy 25 roses for one dollar...unbelievable!

In the left side, you can find the flowers market. I thought it to be bigger. It´s small but very nice.
